It seems after update 1.2.2 NPC's will stop moving when talking at random points. It's happening to all NPC's, but below I have video clips of Reda and one of his helpers showing how at random points the mouth stops moving at random points. Seems to be a lip-sync issue.
Platform: Xbox Series X
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Hi there @gladi8ordude, sorry to hear about this lip sync issue you've come across. Could you please clarify if this occurs across other saves than just this one save as well?
I myself actually have this bug too, also play on xbox series x. I can confirm that Reda has this lip sync issue for me (glitchy giant Reda I might add), other shopkeepers and villagers, as well as a few other world events that I’ve done recently. It seems to look exactly like the lip sync issue a few months ago, just maybe a different frequency of it.
Hey there @hidden1ne! I'm sorry to hear that you've been experiencing this as well. Could you please also confirm with me if you have encountered this across multiple saves?
@ubi-mercury
Yes I can, while going across saves for testing out the supply chest problem, I saw this issue with mostly Reda a bunch, and at least once or so for a world event. I also had to go back about two hours in progress to reload the supply chests I picked up while bugged, and so even on this new branch save I’m playing in it persists. Thanks for your help
I noticed the drinking game bloke in Cambridge was talking without his lips moving. His body moved okay, just the lips didn't. I had not noticed any such issues before 1.2.2 (Xbox).
@ubi-mercury Hey there. I can confirm after about six different save files at different points in the game. This lip-sync bug still occurs to most NPC's you speak to in the game.
Thank you everyone for providing these additional details! Could you all please confirm with me if you have the most recent save with this lip sync issue you're experiencing uploaded to the cloud?
@ubi-mercury
I have a Manual Save 10 as my most recent cloud and regular save, from a couple of days ago, and on this I can confirm it was still happening. A drinking challenge, a shopkeeper, Reda again, and one world event all at one point stop moving their mouth for like a sentence or so.
I play on Xbox Series X
Thank you!
Thank you for uploading your save to the cloud @hidden1ne! I've passed this information you've provided to the development team for further investigation. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.
@ubi-mercury
Of course! I actually want to add that at least for me, this lip sync issue seems to be only for conversations that like aren’t cutscenes but a close camera on the speakers, while major quest cutscenes seem to have no issues (so far as I can tell). I’m about to start Essexe so I’ll see if it happens then to major quests but the way it is now, the inconvenience is very slight .
(If it didn’t trouble too much, maybe you could look at my post of the magyar hunting bow? That one is slightly more inconvenient as I’m holding off on the hunter stuff to avoid any duplicate complications.)
Thanks for helping us with this!
@hidden1ne
Also side question sorry, what exactly does giving you my cloud save do? Like will I see progress made within my game/saves? Or is it just like a grab data thing and on my end nothing affected whatsoever, just helps you?
@ubi-mercury I also play on Xbox Series X and have the same problems. I loaded my most recent save and my cloud save and have the same tip of the issue's that @HIDDEN1NE was describing. It always happens outside of cutscenes and only happens when talking to someone like Reda, Gunnar, a Shopkeeper, or a Drinking game challenger, etc.
Thank you for uploading your save to the cloud as well @gladi8ordude! I've passed this information you provided, as well this additional information from @HIDDEN1NE, to the development team for further investigation of this issue. Also, your saves will be used by the development team to take a closer look into this lip sync issue.
@ubi-mercury Update: Many of the Merchants in Frankia seems to be having this seem bug. Sometimes they will go through their lines, but other times their mouths close and they do something. This is with patch 1.3.0.
@gladi8ordude Thanks for the new video. I have passed this on in the investigation too.
