Hello there,
Thank you for continuing to update this thread with your reports regarding "A Challenge From the Gods." I'd like to reach out to you all with an update from the investigation!
The development team have confirmed that they will be deployed a fix for this quest in a future update! We don't yet have a confirmed ETA for when this update will be released for the game. As soon as we have more definite information to share, it will be posted within this thread and via patch notes published within the News & Announcements forum.
@DOUWEGA - I understand that you're having trouble collecting the dagger of Ragnar Lothbrok. Is this correct? If so, please can you create a new thread about this, as this topic is about "A Challenge form the Gods." I'm aware we have a dedicated Megathread about being unable to trigger the cutscene for the dagger. I'd recommend checking out this Megathread first to see if it's more appropriate for the issue you're encountering.

Same here - reported a couple of days ago. Lets hope they fix it quicker than they normally do.
I agree - reported two days ago. Hopefully they will fix it soon.

I am stuck here as well. The interesting yet sad thing for me was while doing River Raid quests, I only had the "Challenge from the Gods" quest and the one river raid quest I was working on. Once I completed the river raid quest, it said I could talk to her instead of the same old message "continue the main story" message. Unfortunately you cannot save in a river raid so when I got back to dock it immediately started a cut scene betweeen Eivor and Vagn. Once they were done I received the "continue the main story' Message again. Ah well. I had hoped once I finished all the river raid stuff that the option to speak to her would pop up agian but alas it wasnt to be. Waiting on the fix I guess.

Sadly, it doesn't appear fixed with the new update - at least not with me.
Have updated, loaded, saved, restarted and the old woman will still not be talked to! Bit frustrating now.
For reference, running on PC. -
@drivenapart I feel like the fixes future instances of this bug but if you already encountered the bug, you're f-ed

When I select the 'Challenge of the Gods' quest in my Quest menu, all I get is a 'Progress through the main story' prompt. The quest marker is gone. Hildiran is still physically in Ravensthorpe but I can't interact with her.
Thing is, I'm at power level 348, and I've just completed the Glowecestershire arc - so well beyond the two requirements for the Challenge as I understand them. -

I have tried to load an other save, but still doesn't work, I'm kinda disappointed, waited more than 4 months for nothing haha -

The patch today should have resolved an issue where players are unable to progress in "A Challenge From the Gods" after the first cutscene. The patch notes can be found here.

I still have the issue, is it possible that you need to start a completely new save file if you want to play the quest because I have tried to reload an old one and it still says "You should progress...." -

It didnt fix the bug, the problem should be focus on those players who have save the game after facing that glitch. -
Thank you all so much as least for me after the 1.5.0 update on Xbox one x the problem is fixed. I was able to talk to the old woman and move to the first shrine. I'm still having trouble in Ireland with the outpost still telling me that I already control them when I do not. but with that said I wish to say I'm sorry that I posted and complained so much it was just frustration on my part this is a great game and I am really enjoying it. again thank you for the fix and I can't wait to see what's next for Assassins Creed
