Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@garbo3 oof. reskins of existing weapons. They are really making it hard for Jorraptor to fake a smile for exclusive access.
Sorry for double post .BIG SPOILERS
So what's the point of farming all that gear when we're given predetermined loadouts for challenges? That's lame.
@teh_greg I hope we can still equip runes.
Yeah,am waiting to see what they provide us,I got good gear for melee,but nothing for stealth or bower so let's hope is good enough to do the challenges.
I don't expect this time to get the 50 gold medals. Will be tough. I am stubborn though. Let's see how it goes.
So, what are you all feeling about the mastery challenges so far? I'm really wanting to like them, but I'm feeling rather lukewarm about them for now. It's kinda irritating starting these things out with a pre-determined loadout and only one health bar. I have worked hard on my character and am at maximum level with about 88 mastery points spread around. I have my gear just as I like it and am going around crushing everything!! Lol. Now, with these challenges, it's like I'm having to start over in some ways. Maybe I'll warm up to these in time. Or maybe I'll just ignore them until our next content comes out!! Lol.
@ghostagent14 They're supposed to be challenging! lol. Wouldn't be much of a test if they just let you go in guns blazing. (axes blazing?)
@orcbeard92
Lol!! Yes indeed, you are right!! I just really got spoiled going in everywhere with axes blazing!!
@ghostagent14 I can't stand them I've tried eight so far, only one I enjoyed was the first stealth. Archery is impossible I'm aiming like I would normally for headshots, sometimes just above the head, taking in arrow drop, then the arrow just hits them in the chest. Combat missions are awful with only one bar of health, especially with the awful combinations of skill and kill tasks. The rewards aren't even worth it, I feel like when they added the Den defence in Revelations, you play the tutorial and then actively avoid having to engage with the system as much as possible.
The Melee challenges are a little one sided and need balancing. If you are good at assassination and bow you can ace those challenges. Problem is you are supposed to be awarded Battle Tokens so that you can purchase gear from the mastery Vendor. I got 60 Battle Energy Battle token and 6 Red Battle Token the first location where I did the three challenges. The second location after doing the three challenges there I got nothing.
so far i've gotten 8 golds and i just cannot bear these, i guess they're supposed to be challenging but these are just annoyingly hard, for the wolf ones you have to hit every shot for weakspots and headshot kills i cant, for the bear ones i guess they're somewhat doable though the dmg enemies do is a bit too much i feel and having to kill enemies in a certain way with that little health just is not right, i found the stealth ones to be the easiest so far since they don't really require anything except waiting the enemy ai to be in the right spot and then just kill them, yeah im not a fan of these but sadly there is a trophy for getting gold on all of them so i will just have to cry and try
Yeah, I can definitely identify with what many of you are saying here, as I am pretty much despising the mastery challenges as well. So far, I'm finding the combat ones to be the most painful and the stealth ones to be the least painful with the archer ones somewhere in between. I actually went back to Ravensthorpe to see if the rewards were worth all the misery, and I'm kinda thinking not so much. Lol.
They are OK. I've only done the Wenlocan ones so far. My experience was different. Combat and archery were quick and easy, stealth I had to retry a few times. Its my patience problem. And apparently the chain assassination with the throwing axe doesn't count as an assassination kill! I was like finally! got to the last 2 guys and threw the axe at the back of his head and it robbed me of my gold. Something seems off about what it registers, though. Some say they weren't getting credit for indirect fire kills, but I was getting credit from guys dying in brush fire across the map. The combat was my favorite one. Put me on an elevated platform armed with sparta kick? Yes, please!
With that limited experience, it seems heavy handed. IMO, one of the best things about the game is the many nuanced ways you can approach a situation and this takes all that away. But I can appreciate the novelty and intentions of it. If anything, it'll be mildly entertaining until I buy up meteor-woman's shop. Then, it'll probably just be another person I never talk to again like Vagn.
