    Hello,

I bought the game about a week or 2 ago and wanted to confirm:
We only get 120 Opal per week ? (Weekly 1 Contract 20 + Daily 2 contracts 70 + Ubi Connect weekly challenges 30)

So we are not meant to get all that Reda offer every week ? (6 weekly items + 7 daily)

(And I know there are about 400 opal in main world plus 150 in the expansion)

    Thanks in advance

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Perfectly understandable question. Opal is designed in such a way that free-to-play players will struggle to purchase majority of the rewards that cycle from the Helix Store into Reda's shopfront every week. Ubisoft is known to be greedy when it comes to microtransactions, and this is especially prevalent in the Helix Store, but as for what you will be able to claim...

I believe, eventually, after many months, perhaps even a year, most average players could attain at least 50% of the items on offer. That's going off of what we've got making its debut (or reskin/recolour return) to the Helix Store in the coming updates, and will only be so if we don't see another 10+ armour sets jam the store in the coming months.

I hope I cleared (some) things up. Just know that opal is designed to be a 'free' version of helix credits, although it's an extremely cruel process as most of us already paid $90AUD or so for the game.

I have more than 700 opals (they are of no use to me) .. in total i have collected 1376
if you want I'll give you some !!! XD

anyway opals are normally found while exploring the world
(if you use the zoomed view of the crow, you will notice white dots, which represent objects: metals, animals and .. opals !! "
just by collecting the ones from the main story, you will end up with more opals than you can spend ..!

in the peaks of certain mountains,
in most cases they are ALWAYS found in places in ruins

(if you find a Roman artifact, in 90% of cases there is at least one opal nearby)

over time, by playing, you will notice that they are easy to find!

@a-m-r Yes, 120 opals/week. And no, we're not meant to get everything Reda offers. Think of the 120 as the first free hit from a drug dealer. It's to ease you into microtransactions and get you hooked enough to spend real moolah. I might be wrong, but I don't think Reda will offer a full set of anything either.

Opals are a joke. NOT ONE THING is needed from the Helix store.

You can play entire game w/o any of it.

It's just another Fetch Quest bs & as stated, a way to "hook" you into MT's...

Ignore the whole feature and you will have more fun.

    ===

Not worth the price of admission.

I have hundreds of those things and there isn't one thing that I'd like to buy with them. The only way to make them useful is to do what an old MMO used to do, back in the day. Make them worth enough to purchase DLC content. Only then would people care about opals.

As it is now, why would I want to spend them on any of the junk available.

    It's all crap.

@lemmie88 Thanks that was the confirmation I was looking for

I've never bought MTX in any game and I never will
But I do appreciate the chance to get a taste of them without spending real money
I totally agree we don't need them to complete and enjoy the game but some of the items look really good as usual and only gear in-game that can rival them in good looks are the content you get/fully upgrade after completing big portions of the games

In AC Odyssey I used to get the weekly items, but as I remember they were 1 per week and then increased to 2

@a-m-r I managed to get 4 of the 5 gothic set at Redas, and 4 of 5 of the nilfheim so waiting to complete those two sets .I bought a beautiful pine tree yesterday,I don't expend much.

Actually, some the armor you get from Reda is actually quite good, depending upon your play style. But do you NEED it? No. I finished the entire game in my Raven Clan set, so you don't even need any of the armor you get from quests.

@a-m-r To compliment the comments from @TheExpCoffee and @Garbo3, it’s worth noting that if you pay attention to Reda’s store for the daily and weekly inventory rollouts, eventually you will see a number of items repeat themselves. So, in theory, if you really wanted to buy everything, it’s only a matter of time. Considering the cost of these armor sets on the store, waiting around for each piece to be displayed in Reda’s inventory is worth the wait to ‘buy’ it with Opals obtained through daily and weekly quests.
