I’m at the part where you have to “Carry Tedmund.” When I put him down at the target location, nothing happens. It continues to say “Carry Tedmund.” Cannot progress past this step. I’ve tried meditating, fast traveling, and reloading from multiple save points. Still the same issue.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Hello there,
As we have had no reports of issues persisting with "Puppets and Prisoners" since the release of TU 1.3.0, we will now be locking this thread.
If you encounter any further trouble with “Puppets and Prisoners," then please feel welcome to create a new thread and we’ll gladly take a closer look. When creating a new thread, please include any additional images/videos of the issue you’re encountering in-game, as this will be helpful for further investigation.
Thanks!
When you get to Beamasfield with Basim and dismount, Basim's horse follows closely and gets in the way. Also, when booby trapping a corpse, Basim sets it off.
Workaround for horse: mount it and dismount it and it will stay where it is.
@mpassaretti Same i keep clearing the camp and being unable to pick him up. Its a shame. Hopefully fixed soon.
Trying to play through the Puppets and Prisoners quest but there are no quest icons to start or progress through the quest. I managed to find Tedmund without them but he disappeared when I tried to put him on the back of my horse.
Any suggestions on how to fix? Tried an earlier save and it’s still broken. Hopefully won’t lose 50 hours of play time.
I'm having the same problem. I kidnapped Tedmund, got to the location, and was prompted to place him on the ground to complete the objective. But nothing happens after I place him on the ground. I tried placing him in different spots, and nothing happened, so I restarted the game. I restarted in the location, but Tedmund had teleported back to camp, and he was still tied up for some reason. I grabbed him and took him back to the spot to drop him, but still nothing happened when I put him down.
I am currently doing the quest "Puppets and Prisoners". I keep getting a bug where I can't kidnap Tedmund. I have gone back to earlier saves, gone to the area, left and then come back, non of which worked. Please fix.
@mpassaretti
I have a similar issue. I tried to find Tedmund, but there is no him anywhere. and no quest mark in the map also.
I am playng it with PS4. in the quest of puppets and prisoner, I can not find Tedmund anywhere. I tried to reloard, reinstall it, everything i could do. but nothing works.
Tedmund does not showed up also quest mark is dissapeared in the map.
I am stucking because of this. It is very annoying..
I’m having the same problem. Have tried everything including deleting and reinstalling the game. Has anyone managed to find a solution?
@elektratsuyoi Same happened to me. I just shot at him once, it didn’t kill him, he kneeled down hurt and it gave me the prompt to tie him up.
Puppets and prisoners is broke for me when I set the guy on the ground nothing happens I've tried reloading doing other missions even left and did the vinland quest and it's still stuck
I cannot interact with Tedmund, I am cloaked and all guards are dead. ps4
I completed the first main quest in Cent, after stealing the letter in the castle, normally basim would be in the harbor in Cent. Puppets and prisoners should start after stealing this letter. I have no quest sign in the harbor near the orlog player and there is no priest or basim. Does anybody have the same issue and how can i fix it? I tried to meditate, save the game, restart the game... even changed missions in the alliance map and even played other main quests in england. Only i need to complete Cent to go further in the game
@fainterhail7550 Hello there! Our team is still investigating this issue at this time. I'd like to know if you've tried attacking / hitting the NPC in question once, as that's a required action for the quest.
