After the Wrath of the Druids update (which is great so far), I've had a couple longship issues. I know that the Jomsviking appearance reset is already well known and under investigation, but I seem to be having two more niche issues: No matter what shields I have selected, they will always display the Jomsviking shields that you acquire from the River Raids guy (I know some people have said that changing the River Raids ship can fix this, but I've had no success. No matter what I change on either ship, my main longship is locked with the Jomsviking appearance for the shields). On top of that, the white cat that you get on your ship appears to have disappeared for me (I haven't returned back to England yet to see if the cat issue persists there, but she/he's certainly gone in Ireland).

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@linkfire111 EDIT: I can confirm that the cat is still on the ship in England, it's just Ireland where it is missing.

@linkfire111 EDIT 2: I found a workaround to the shield issue. In order to change the shields on your longship, you must first set the shield you want applied to your other River Raids long ship and then initiate a raid (it must actually start and load you into the river you choose). Once there, you can exit the raid and the correct shields will be applied to your longship. This is the only way to change the shields of your standard viking longship, and even with the workaround it's still a mildly annoying bug

    Hello there @Linkfire111!

Thanks for taking the time to report the trouble you're encountering with your longship, as well as providing a workaround for the shield issue. The development team are aware that both the longship shields will switch to those assigned on the river raid ship, as well as Nali's disappearance in Ireland.

For more information and updates from the investigation into the longship shields, I recommend following this megathread. It looks like the development team are intending to resolve this issue in a future date. More information about future updates will be shared within the News & Announcements forum, so I'd recommend keeping an eye out here too 🙂

I've noticed that Nali also doesn't appear in Norway either. I wonder if she just prefers the English waters 🤔 We've reached out to the development team to see if we can get confirmation about where Nali should and shouldn't travel too. Any future updates will be shared within the forums.

    Thanks! 😊
