    This was very weird.
You encounter and follow Puca, then you have to survive a fight with it.
I did, and then it was standing there, back in wolf form. Marked red as enemy, but not attacking and not taking damage.
So following it as the quest wanted was impossible. Reloaded, same.
I still found the site, and killed all, including Puca.
After finishing I got an avenge quest. Blackwoodz of all people, a well known AC youtuber.
Found his corpse, searched for the perpetrator - and it was puca again. Alive, not fighting, not taking damage.
I reloaded before game got off track even further.
    Anybody else had this?

    Hello there,

As we have had no reports of this issue with defeating the Puca in "Into the Fog" since the release of the hotfix on June 2 2021, we will now be locking this thread.

If you encounter any further trouble with “Into the Fog," then please feel welcome to create a new thread and we’ll gladly take a closer look. When creating a new thread, please include any additional images/videos of the issue you’re encountering in-game, as this will be helpful for further investigation.

    Thanks! 😊

When you encounter the puca, it's supposed to run away after a certain amount of damage.
In my game this does not happen.
After a little bit of fighting it becomes immune to damage and the fight never ends.

Tried earlier saves and it keeps happening.

I am now stuck and cant continue.

@nldraakje I had this too (and made a post about it here).
You can still manually search for the gathering and continue.

I think in the future i will await a full review before i purchase anymore of your games and i suspect i am not the only one.

When fighting the puca, after doing about 1/4 - 1/3 of its hp in damage, I can no longer do damage to it and it keeps attacking instead of running away as it should do. It still damages me, of course, which means I just end up dying eventually.

First time I thought it might be a glitch in the type of damage being done, so I've attempted it a few more times fighting in different ways using different abilities, but the glitch remains.

    Hello there,

I've merged together your posts to create a single thread about fighting the Puca in "Into the Fog." This will help us to keep all information and updates from the investigation in one place. I apologise if any ongoing conversations have been disrupted by this.

Thank you for including a video of the issue, @Moobalicious79. I'm sorry to hear that you have been unable to attack the Puca. I've passed on the reports that have been shared in this thread to the development team so they can investigate this further.

If you have been affected by this issue, can you let me know if you encountered an "Avenge" quest whilst in the quest area? I notice that both @Kormac67 and @Moobalicious79 encountered an Avenge quest with Blackwoodz (or Blackwoodz1996, as shown in the video).

@Kormac67, @NLDraakje & @Sil_Foundation - If you are able to provide any additional video footage, this will be very helpful for the investigation. You can upload the footage to a sharing platform (such as Youtube or Google Drive) and send a link within this thread. I can then pass these to the development team for a closer look.

@Moobalicious79 - Can you please ensure that you have an up-to-date save uploaded to the cloud? We can then notify the development team so this can be used as part of the ongoing investigation.

    Thanks 😊

This is interesting glitch/bug witch I encounter: So after done Into the Fog main qust has appeared to me mission to avenge killed user. So I took it and it occured that I should kill once again werewolf there. Werewolf was marked but it was version from before main fight, when we were chasing it in wolf form. So it was bugged as in this case it was version from previous cutscens. So it was trying to attack but didn't do any damage to me and I couldn't kill it to confirm revenge and I couldn't kill it to confirm revenge. Revenge mission totally glitched couldn't be completed. I could without problem run with this werwolf touch him etc. 🙂

    Hello there!

@Kormac67 - You're welcome! Thank you for the suggestion 😊 If you have any further feedback or suggestions on how we can make the Megathread list easier to navigate, please don't hesitate to reach out!

@hygrotus - I've merged your post into this thread as it sounds like you're encountering a similar issue to the other players in this thread. I'm sorry to hear you've been unable to damage the Puca. Just to confirm, were you able to successfully defeat it prior to the Avenge quest appearing?

Do you recall who the Avenge quest was for? Two players in this thread mentioned they had an Avenge quest for Blackwoodz. Do you recall if this was the player you needed to avenge? It would be interesting to know if this might be a link to the issue occuring.

    Thanks! 🙂

I've also got this problem, fighting the Púca, once it's stun bar is down/halfish health down, nothing progresses. Púca just keeps fighting, but doesn't take damage. I've reloaded multiple saves, but no dice on changing it.

I haven't encountered an avenge quest in the region of the Púca, I may have gotten one out in Tuam last night in the lead up to this quest, but none in this area.

Apparently, commenting about it and resetting my game one additional time fixed it for me, I have no answers as to why. 17th reload's the charm?

Hello there @rndmwitedude! Welcome to the forums 🙂

Thanks for sharing your experience with us, and for providing an update. I'm glad to hear that the issue has resolved itself for you 😄

The development team are still investigating this issue further. If you have encountered this issue due to the Puca being selected as the target in an Avenge quest, would you be able to try reloading your save, or reloading an earlier save file? We would like to see if this resets the Avenge quest, and allows you to do damage to the Puca again.

If you are prompted to take an Avenge quest in the area again, we'd recommend declining it until this quest has been completed, as the Avenge quest may be what's potentially causing this issue for players.

If you're unable to damage the Puca, and no Avenge quest has been triggered for you whilst in the area, please can you send us a video that shows this? We can then pass this along to the developers for a closer look.

    Thanks! 😊

Hi I was able to complete Into the Fog quest and defeated Puca. It happened just exactly after this fight then avenge quest appeared. I'm sorry but I now do not remember name of the player I should avenge (didn't note it) .
No when I'm thinking it started to happen something wrong during the Into the Fog quest. As after first encounter with Puca, after objecitive to survive it, next objective is to follow the Puca and it is in the wolf form. In this moment it glithed in the air but I left it as it was and run to the main fight arena. In this fight arena Puca appeared without a problem in werewolf form and I was able to defeat it without a problem. Quest was completed and then avenge mission appeared. Avenge mission pointed Puca to kill but it location was in the gorge where I was chasing it before. The rest is in my original post. I hope you understand this description. btw I also attach image of glitched Puca in the middle of quest and image of Puca glithed in avenge quest (second image). I'm sorry I do not have video from this.

Hey there. Same issue for me. It almost looks like the puca visually glitches for a fraction of a second at the start of the battle.

I have not gotten an Avenge Quest during the quest line. Like the others have said- normal damage to Puca till about half HP. Then no more damage. The sound of my blows landing also doesn’t sound right- almost like I’m trying to kill something that can’t be. (Probably cause it’s not supposed to die- just trigger the next phase)

Multiple multiple reloads do not change the outcome.

Im running out of outposts and side quest things. Lol! Anyone else have a fix/ workaround?

    Thanks! ᛟ

@paraflier Leave it standing and manually search for the gathering. It's nearby. Then you can continue the quest.

@kormac67 Do you mean not start the fight with the Puca and just head to the left? Is it possible to skip the battle and still move the quest along?

Once the battle starts, there is a boarder around the immediate area that prevents leaving.

  • Kormac67
    Original poster 1144 posts

@paraflier You have to fight the puca, until it stops fighting. Then it is supposed to run away and you follow. Instead it just stays there, invulnerable.
Then you have to find the gathering on your own to continue the quest.

Thanks for sharing your report with us, @Paraflier. I'm sorry to hear that you've encountered trouble when fighting the Puca in "Into the Fog" as well.

Thanks for sharing your suggestions, @Kormac67! After you've finished fighting the Puca as much as you're able to, @Paraflier, are you able to then leave the area and continue to the meeting? Or are you still unable to progress further in "Into the Fog" at all?

@ubi-borealis thanks for the reply all. My issue is the fight with the Puca will trigger and I can deal damage to the enemy. However, once I get the Puca ‘s HP about half, I cannot inflict more damage. The Puca keeps fighting me. I cannot escape the battle due to the boarder around the area.

I can still land blows on the Puca but it doesn’t get any more damaged. The battle goes on forever. Or until I die.

No avenge quests, (I did notice that suggestion) have tried multiple reloads and save files. All the same issue.
