@ubi-borealis still nothing? This is starting to get boring. No information on this issue on News & Announcements, no answers. There are several people with this issue as well, why don't the dev team just look up into it and fix it asap?

Geez, my friends told me not to buy any Ubisoft game at launch, now I see why....
I was really enjoying the game, but since then I havent played it anymore, might just trash it.

@xjcruz I'm very sorry for the continued difficulties caused by this issue and for our belated response. Rest assured, the development is still looking into this issue. However, no further updates have been shared with us yet, which is likely why details haven't been posted to the News and Announcements forum yet.

    @xjcruz
I am stuck as well. Not sure what the hold up is on identifying the bug. But not being able to progress is an awful way to treat a customer. Not to mention all the RL money I spent in the store. If this isn’t resolved quickly This will be my 1st and last AC title. What a shame

@guest-bdqo7jni they don't seem to care much to be honest... I've read the last patch notes and they fixed missing pets from the game, which is merely aesthetic. Really? How important is that?

    Hello there!

Please be assured that the development team are still investigating the issue wherein "A Sword-Shower in Anecastre" is not unlocked following the selection of Bishop Herefrith in "Where the Stone Falls." As they are still taking a closer look at this issue, this is why it was not included in TU 1.2.0. We currently don't have any new updates from the investigation to share. Once we have any new information, it will be posted within this thread or in the News & Announcements forum.

@guest-BdqO7JnI - Thank you for sharing your experience within this thread. I've passed your report to the development team as part of the ongoing investigation.

    Thanks! 😊

This bug is still not fixed with update 1.2.0. It doesn't really seem to be on the radar for the devs to fix, we need to make more noise about it. I'm going to submit another bug report, I'd encourage everyone else to do the same.

I'm now relegated to grinding it out on the map and any other morsels that Ubisoft throw our way via the title updates. I've tried everything I can to try and work around this bug but nothing seems to work, there's seems to be no way of triggering the missing letter about the Bishop being the Crozier. If anyone discovers a workaround please post it here, as it seems Ubisoft are not going to fix this bug in a hurry.

I've posted videos demonstrating this issue on other threads. If anyone from Ubisoft is listening - I've offered to make any cloud saves available (I'm on Xbox Series X) to help diagnose this issue but they haven't taken me up on the offer yet. I'd really like to see this bug fix as I don't want to have to start the game again when I'm already 95% of the way through the game.

I waited months for the bug to be fixed during "In the Absence of an Ealdorman" where the quest marker was missing when trying to hand Hunwald the brooch. In the meantime I completed all regions except Hamtunscire, and when the latest update was released I finished the quest. I chose Bishop Herefrith as the Ealdorman. I understand now that he is an Order member, but I received no prompt to start the next objective to meet with Aelfgar to kill Bishop Herefrith. I received no letter at the settlement telling me that Lincolnscire was under the Order's control. I now am stuck AGAIN - I cannot pledge to Hamtunscire, I cannot start the Rygjafylke quest. I reported on Lincolnscire to Randvi already but there are no other available regions on the Alliance Map. I cannot interact with Sigurd - he just walks around Ravensthorpe.

I need help with the following:
    1. Why haven't I received the letter from Aelfgar to kill Bishop Herefrith (I finished Jorvik ages ago and reported to Randvi)
    2. Why can't I pledge to Hamtunscire (I am on level 280 and have been able to start other regions before at higher levels)
    3. Why can't I start the Rygjafylke quest?

    I'm on PS4!

Again posting this because I haven't received any response in over a month and I do actually want to play this game.

A response would be appreciated as I cannot find any fixes other than going back 20+ hours worth in saves.

I've completed all the quests up until "Where the stone falls" in the first Lincolnscire pledge. I first notice this when the quest marker never showed up and was not available in my incomplete quests. After completing now very other territory I still cannot do this quest and I cannot locate Acha where she is meant to be spawned for the beginning of this quest. And yes to confirm I have completed up to the Thegn of Lincoln - with no other quests available in the area.

@guest-s9soc9ks I have also opened a ticket about a month ago (on PC) and submitted all relevant videos and info to showcase the issue.
I was just notified this has been handed over to the development team, and I really hope someone will pay attention to this. best we can hope for, is a fix in the next patch but I suspect this will not happen before (sadly..)

Hello there @guest-PGLAGd3n! Welcome to the forums 🙂

Thanks for taking the time to share your report about being unable to kill Bishop Herefrith. In future, please refrain from making duplicate posts about the same topic, as this goes against our forum rules. I've deleted your duplicate posts about this topic as I've responded to you here.

You won't be able to pledge to Hamtunscire until after you have been able to complete the Hordafylke arc. As you have been unable to complete the Lincolnscire arc, this will be preventing you from starting the Hordafylke arc.

The development team are aware of an issue wherein "A Sword-Shower in Anecastre" doesn't trigger after appointing Bishop Herefrith as Ealdorman and are investigating this further. To help in the investigation, could you send us a video that shows the following:

    • Your current quest log
    • Your completed quest log, and that you have completed "Where the Stone Falls" and "Reporting on Lincolnscire"

We can then pass this along to the development team for further investigation.

    Thanks! 😊

I'm stuck too. I got stuck with the Lincolnshire Ealdorman bug, and then I did everything else before it was fixed, including Jorvik. I selected the Bishop as the leader, and now.... nothing. Can't kill the Crozier. Can't activate Hamtunshire. Can't do squat.

I just filed a bug report, but now I'm waiting AGAIN.

@Ubi-Borealis I've reduced the image files, but every time I try to upload and submit the jpegs it says "please wait for image to upload" and nothing happens
