Not that I much cared for the revenge objectives anyway, but having an "Avenge Xx_BongHits_69" quest notification popup almost always after I've cleared a camp and give me objectives to stare longingly into the eyes of a dead boar or something is not an improvement. The previous functionality was superior.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@ubi-wan It seems associated with using Odin's Sight, but I've had less occurrences since posting this just because of where I am in the game. After using Odin's Sight in the large "Avenge ..." text pops up and highlights the relevant player corpse to examine. I guess the remaining complaint is just that the large text popup shouldn't occur until the corpse is examined, IMO.
Thanks.
While I also prefer the previous way of manually triggering avenge quests, I can live with automatic acceptance of them since it just takes a few minutes to finish them.
I believe the quests are now indeed triggered by using Odin's Sight.
Hello @tallyl,
Thank you for the update!
Can I kindly ask you to provide us with a short video of this occurring, so we can investigate it further for you?
Many thanks and if you have any additional questions, please let us know.
Consider yourself lucky that you get any revenge quest at all.
In 250 hours, I haven't seen a single corpse. Not one.
Half a year and a few updates later and the issue still persists.
Can you please give us and option to disable "avenge" quest in settings so they won't appear in the first place? Nothing more immerion breaking than "Avenge player stupidfortnitekid1234".
Hello there @Vykyng666,
I apologise for my delayed response. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us regarding the ability to disable "Avenge Quests." I'm sorry to hear that these are interrupting your gameplay experience. I've passed on your feedback to the dedicated teams for further consideration.
If any changes are to be made to the current "Avenge Quest" system, these will be shared in the News & Announcements forum, so please check here for the most up-to-date information.
Thanks!
