That's a link to my video that shows the health/stamina overlap, a failed quicksave, and the loading screen proving that a quicksave didn't happen. The same thing is happening with autosaves - it doesn't show the symbol at the bottom right when it should, and then when I look, no autosave was made.

    I appreciate your help with this!

    @Yesin069 - The development team are still investigating this issue further, and have not yet released any fixes for the issue. I apologise for any disappointment caused by this. Please rest assured that they are treating this issue seriously, and the player support team are passing on all reports that have been shared with us to assist in the ongoing investigation. We are regularly checking in with the developers to see if there are any new updates to share with you.

    As soon as we have more information from the team, we will let you know in this thread as soon as possible. Any fixes will be communicated in the News & Announcements forum as well.

    @Torean9990 - Thank you for capturing a video for us! This is very helpful for the investigation. I've added this to the report you submitted earlier so the development team can take a closer look.

    @ubi-borealis The same thing just happened to me. I'm playing on PC. I had just recruited my first Jomsviking and went on a raid. After the raid was done both autosaves and quicksaves stopped working. There is was no indication that it didn't work other than the save icon not appearing. I lost two hours of progress because I needed to go back to an earlier save, only to find they weren't there. I only use three main save slots that I rotate between.

    I seem to recall the exact same thing happening i Odyssey from time to time. It's a bit embarrassing when the same bug is still present in the next game a few years later.

    Been playing the DLC for two evenings (PC) and zero saving issues.

    So maybe it has to do with game progress and it just stops at some point and reappears again, which makes it even more difficult to fix...

    I am currently at the Snotinghamscire-arc in the main story and have just Winchester and Hamtunscire left to finish the main game. I am waiting for over 1 month now to just finish the last part of the game and to be honest i lost any interest in doing it by now.

    I always wait for the next update to fix a issue that is annoying me and than new issues appear with every update that are even more annoying.

    At least this issue is now "currenntly under investigation" in the "known issues" thread.

    BUT

    If this really doesn't get fixed with the next update in June I will 100% delete this game and don't look back. This is no world event or UI issue that I can look past because it doesn't hinder my progress. This is gamebreaking! I can't enjoy a single second playing this game when I know the save system is flawed or doesn't always work properly.

    They still have two weeks to put this into the "issues that will be adressed with the next update" tab...

    @ubi-borealis thanks again! I do have to note an update... I've gotten to play a couple of times (a few hours overall) since my last message, and neither of those problems have happened since. Previously, it was happening about 5 minutes into playing every time I loaded my game. Hopefully it fixed itself, but I'm keeping a watch on it.

    I noticed my quick saves are not always showing up.. Very random in terms of if an actual save file is created. I have the latest patch.

    I lost my progression in jotunheim twice because auto save does not work. Once because I quit the game and the other because I died. Not pleased at all with that.

    This is really unbelieveable...

    Ubisoft really let us wait for 5 wholy weeks (or more when the next update doesnt fix this problem) to be able to save the game properly. What the hell is this? This should be the highhest priority. When anyone having issues with saves that are not happening because of own mistakes and just started happening with the last update, this should get hotfixed DAYS after this issue appears. The next update will be released soon (1st June or 3rd June I think) now and on the known issues page this issue is still under investigation.

    The issue still persists and still is "under investigation" in the know issues thread. When this doesnt get fixed with next weeks update i am really getting crazy...this is just crazy that i have to stop playting the game for over a month shortly before the edning and get no hotfix or nothing vor a huge issue like that....

I understand that this may not be the update you were hoping for, and apologise for any disappointment caused. As soon as we have any new updates to share with you all, these will be posted within this thread and in the News & Announcements forum.

    If you have been affected by this issue, and haven't yet provided us with the following information, please can you provide us with answers to the questions below:

    • How many save files do you already have? 
    • When did the issue start?
    • What happens in-game that triggers save actions to stop working?


    We can then forward your report along to the development team as part of the ongoing investigation.

    @ubi-borealis Well, here's my current update... It's happening again. For a long time it wasn't though. I wonder if it has something to do with doing mysteries and other side stuff in a new area before doing the storyline there... Its happening to me in Snotinghamscire now. It just now came up when I tried to quicksave before doing the mystery where you play as Layla.

    I am also in the Snotingahamscire arc. Maybe it has to do with activated arcs...

    I would like to reach out to you all with an update from the investigation. The development team have confirmed that they intend to release a fix for this issue in a future update! We don't yet have a confirmed release date for this fix. Once we have more definite information to share with you, it will be posted within this thread and in the News & Announcements forum as soon as we are able to.

    @Torean9990 - I'm sorry to hear that you're unable to auto/quick save again. We hope to have more information to share with you regarding the fix soon. I've passed on both your own and @Yesin069's comments about this happening during the Snotinghamscire arcs.

    I was playing the other night an lost a few hours of gameplay and realized it wasn’t auto saving. I re-did everything I had already done and played for at least 6-8 hours this evening doing a quick save after each thing. I didn’t see the save icon but just assumed it was working. Got killed by a fishmonger and have about 8-10 hours just gone. I’m ready to just give up on this game as this is the third time now I’ve had to do this. Please fix this mess. A game this big with such a grind cannot function without saving. I lost abilities, everything. Ready to just give up on it honestly.

    @flocac Apologies for the late response. I can confirm that this is a known issue. The development team are intending to fix this with a future update.

    I have merged your post with our megathread we have created for this particular issue. In the meantime I would suggest manually saving your progress.

    Where is the fix for this HUGE ISSUE in the patch notes for 1.2.2? I really hope this issue is fixed and just not mentioned because if not i am really finished with that game. I waited for 2 months to finish the last sequence of that game and needed to stop because of save issues.
