I'm gonna say it.
Valhalla is worse than Unity.
It's just a big, buggy mess. Everything is broken. Bordering on unplayable.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

You say this as people are in the process of downloading a major patch.
I fully completed this game on release while experiencing only minor issues during the 236 hours.
I can't remember the last time that I played a game that I could honestly categorize as unplayable. Even Bannerlord in its early access state was playable. Cyberpunk was playable for me. Early access Solasta was playable.
I guess Dystopia: Contest of Heroes was the last video game that I played that I could consider unplayable, but that was a mobile game. Mobile games should be considered unplayable even if they are playable, due to how cringe they are. But even that game got fixed after several patches. Dystopia can now be considered unplayably playable.
@katzenkrimis71 sorry, I was using hyperbole. I had just spent five minutes trying to run up a post while chasing a tattoo design.
I've logged 180 hours in this game and I can't believe the amount of things that don't work. Quests that won't resolve after completion, items that don't show up, being unable to progress the game after completing a storyline quest...
It's amazing. Unity wasn't this bad and I got a free game out of it. At this point I'm going to finish the story and move on to something else. I'm unlikely to bother with the DLC.
@katzenkrimis71 today is 4-27-21, I just started playing this game, I have approximately 36hrs in game play and already experiencing F5 quicksaves issues and HDR bug tech issue. These are serious problems. I have the best of every piece of pc hardware and fiber money can buy and its frustrating I have stop playing until these issues are not only recognized but fixed.
I’m concerned by the way the game seems to become more buggy the longer you play. I actually feel the game is fantastic but the bugs do make it feel far less polished than the last two AC games, and it feels like it’s three super buggy games in a row from Ubisoft, Legion and Breakpoint being the other two, yes Ubi has always had bugs and usually they’re just amusing cosmetic issues but these games have major issues. Has something changed about the process at Ubi recently?
@pesto I suspect that bad management and management harassment issues caused a lot of good people to quit and go somewhere else especially at the Montreal studio which seemed to be Ground Zero for most of the problems .... That's why there is such a radical difference between AC Origins and AC Valhalla despite coming from the same studio ..... I suspect a lot of the core coders for Origins are long gone and with it a lot of hands on experience with this game engine ..... I wouldn't doubt that most of the team that originally coded the AnvilNext game engine are gone so there is no one left that actually knows how the game engine works ..... Coding a Game Engine and coding a game using that game engine are two entirely different skill sets just like designing a CPU and designing a computer that uses that CPU are two entirely different skill sets
