I bought the game on PS4 and will continue it on PS5.
I understood that the saves can be transferred from the PS4 to the PS5 but what about trophies?
Are they shared between the PS4 and the PS5?
Will they automatically unlock on PS5 once my PS4 save has been transferred?

I got my PS5 delivered to me yesterday and I got the free upgrade to the PS5 version which is working well so far and is much better in terms of loading times.
The Issue I have however is with the trophy list, it appears that each version has separate trophy lists (I hadn't progressed massively far however I had got to England and acquired about 8 trophies by this point).
While i thought the story related trophies I would have to go through the game again, I thought I could acquire trophies such as the one where you complete your first viking raid by just doing another raid... however I undertook a viking raid and didn't receive a trophy for it so it appears even if you complete the activity again in the PS5 version I don't receive the trophy.
My biggest concern is that there may be some trophies (For example I think there is one for killing all the legendary animals) I may not receive as I had killed a legendary animal on the PS4 version, same with the flyting trophy as again I did my first two flyts within the PS4 version.

Can you please confirm if you would think of merging the two trophy lists together from both the PS4 and PS5 versions? And also if the fact that I did some activities on the PS4 version will affect trophies such as the flyting one? While it's not a game breaker I would prefer to get the trophies and not have to replay the whole game again / kill all the legendary animals etc in order to receive the trophy.

@indieftw Sadly it has been confirmed that the two trophy lists are separate and cannot be merged. Have the same issue.

As to my understanding they are not transferable.
Haven't got my PS5 yet, so I will try 100% completion on my old PS4 before getting my hands on PS5.

@balla_jazzuz That's what I understand also from other sources but I'd love to have an official response from Ubi because I think the transfert is working for Watchdogs

I know the trophy lists are separate. And I also get the "first raid in england" trophy not unlocking by doing a random raid later. But I'll be so [censored] when my 100% trophy won't unlock. Technically that's a state check to see if the whole map is done. It should have nothing to do with progress done earlier.

Stuff that also didn't unlock:

• Tranquility (standing stones)
• Equilibrium (cairns)
• Witch hunt (killed the second one --> didn't unlock)
• Equine Attack (no matter how many dudes you assassinate from the horse afterwards... it doesn't unlock)
• Everyday Life (World events)

The problem might be the game "telling" the trophy list it already unlocked these trophies. I'll have to do a new game or ng+ for these i would assume. That's not that bad. I'll have that stuff done in a couple of hours at the most.

But if, after 150+ hours it won't unlock "completionist all the way" i'll be [censored].

I honestly don't get why they wouldn't combine the trophy lists. Especially now that save games carry over without issues.

The one thing that gives me hope is the fact that "we're in the end game now" as well as the settlement level trophies unlocked without issues.

So i played 50 hours on PS4 before moving on to PS5. Trophies didn't pop and the PS5 version uses a seperate trophy list. I don't wanna go throuh 50 hours again to get the platinum in this one. Obviously not going to play the inferior PS4 versions just so I can continue on this playthrough for platinum. Was this intended or are you working on this?

Im currently playing on the ps5 and trophies are missing while i got the same trophies on the ps4 earlier. Is this a glitch or a bug, and what can i do about it

Going from ps4 to ps5 i never got all trophies transferring so wondering what i can do without starting a new save. For example my settlement is level 6 but never got the level 3 or level 6 trophy transfer

Hi, I platinumed the game a few days ago on the PS4 (raphael_zoren is my PSN username) and once I finally got my PS5 two days ago I downloaded the PS5 version of Valhalla.

After playing for a few minutes and doing the daily Reda quest, many trophies started to pop up all at once...but not all of them. No gold trophy popped up while most (but not all) of the bronze and silver trophies popped up.

This seems to be entirely random since one of the last trophies I got was the all fish one (Good Catch) preceded by Over Design II and Skadi's Hobby. For some reason, only Good Catch popped up and not the other ones even though Good Catch was achieved later.

Here's a list of the missing Bronze, Silver, Gold and Plat trophies:

While changing from PS4 to PS5. Not all throphies have been synchronized correctly. I have 46 of the 51 available throphies. The ones missing are the following: 

- The Order Is Revealed (Complete the Lunden Arc)
- Calling in a Favor (Complete the Suthsexe Arc)
- As It Was Foretold (Complete "The Prophecy" storyline)
- Disorder of the Ancients (Eliminate all targets of the Order of Ancients)

Anyone else having the same problem?

I got the same problem mate, so annoying. wish they fixed this as now i not sure i pay for season pass to carry on ps5

Update: the "Is Anyone Out There" trophy just popped in randomly after the latest update. Still missing the other 30% trophies. Any help, Ubi?

i been on chat to ubisoft all day, they just said you have to start a new save and do it all again or contact playstation. Not happy

I played the PS4 version of AC Valhalla and juat got the Platinum trophy. Then I upgraded to the PS5 version since all trophies unlocked would unlock on PS5. Sadly, this isn't happening. Some trophies did unlock and other didn't. Any word on this? After nearly 130 hours I only wanted to play the upcoming DLC on PS5, not the entire game again.

Any help would be appreciated.

@cloudstrifenl I have a similar issue. I can understand some of the "challenges" not unlocking and me having to slide down the mountain again etc but things like settlement level 6, unlocking all the wealth etc did not sync from PS4 to PS5. Some have been randomly unlocking from time to time when I load the game. No idea why or how.

I believe that for a trophy pop for example lvl 280 you can let the save in ps4 at lvl 279 and in ps5 put one lvl more and the trophy pop

@locoporkko I wish. Alot of trophies unlocked just fine and some of them didn't. 3 random story trophies didn't unlock but the rest did. Really weird. Hope they fix this soon.

@caspeer_costel That's really weird. I have all the collectabkes trophies except the Orlog players and Completions all the Way. At first Kill all Order members didn't unlock but I had a save before the last one so I got that one. Also slid down the mountain again. But it's strange and very random. Hope they fix this soon.
