Hello all,
I'm experiencing some weird sound issues, its ruinning my experience 100%. I'm not playing the game because of it.
I've sound issues like Eivor speaks too loud or for exemple when I'm climbing an object Eivor yells too loud, it literally destroys my ears.
Also sound has a very poor quality, I don't know why but Ubisoft please fix this!
@reaper666__ It is that way for all. It's annoying. Setting my sound bar system to equalize oly helps some but still louder.
Issues with audio
@kuillemaul1 I'm using controller and their voice is still louder than the rest. But I noticed when pressing the controller's button or pushing the stick while Eivor's talking, their voice's volume become normal. It's weird.
I have the same issue, I'm playing with an Xbox one controller on PC with KB+M disabled (it causes crashes but that's another story). It is especially annoying when I put on the face mask because his voice gets more bassy, my ears start bleeding. Switching off dialogue boost helped just a bit but not much. It is more obvioous with a face mask.
Posting here too. I've also made a topic but seems nobody cares.
Do you guys also have the sound issue where Eivor just screams too loud when climbing things ? Or jumping?
This is like killing totally the game and my ears.
I've stop playing the game and can't even touche it until they fix this.
I am reassured to read all this, currently a sound designer for video games, I was very surprised at the audio quality of this Assassin's Creed. Eivor's voice is really strong, his reactions to the efforts are worthy of jump scare. It also has a permanent reverb on it.
And what to say about the sounds of footsteps in the snow - present everywhere ahah - they are horrible and repetitive ...
Where's the time in the sound designer teams on this project to get it right?
I'm having this problem too, i noticed it even from the gameplay demo 2 months ago, the audio is very bad. Because of that i didn't even play ac origins, odyssey was ok-ish, now we are back at origins with the sound quality. I would like to see a patch for this, or at least a optional patch. The dialogues are very strange, like Eivor is very loud, and others very quiet. And that's with dialogue boost, without it it's unplayable.
Ps5 now have the loud Eivor voice and footsteps after the patch. So now it is a bad as it was on ps4. Realy out of balance volume on everything now and again background music can barely be heard. It’s weird that before 1.04 on ps5 these issues were none exsisting. This is so annoying that it got from good to worse on the Playstation 5.
This Problem now exist on ps5 after patch 1.04
Started playing this game on PS4 Pro and there it was awfull. When i got ps5 the loud Eivor voice gone and matched the volume of other people.
But now after 1.04 the problem now have affected the Playstation 5 version too.
The main characters voice is louder than everything else, can't hear other characters and the music. There is nothing in the options menu to fix it.
@basemix2007 I can confirm for me at least that the issue is still there after the patch. You kind of get used to it but it does ruin the experience.
Thanks for the added details, this issue is still being looked into at the moment.
To help us look into this, please let us know the following information:
@kuillemaul1 Thanks for providing that.
Would you also be able to upload a DxDiag through the Support Site here?
I have the exact same problem, eivor's voice is way louder than everything else if i play with keyboard and mouse, but with a controller is fine ( the problem is that my logitech controller, doesnt work well with ACV, as my character moves alone ... )
asking for a refund already.
@blondie4e This is still unresolved.it seems, really has a detrimental effect on the game.
The game audio is really good, the water sounds, environment sound effects but when I raise the volume enough to be able to hear it Eivor's voice is extremely loud, whether that be cinematic dialogue or general wild lines or even his voice cues on horseback, especially noticeable when whistling for your horse, it's ear shattering.
Platform : PC
Sound Card - PCI-E Soundlbaster ZxR (dedicated)
Speaker Setup : Z906 5.1
Spec : i7 7700k, 3080 RTX, z270 chipset, 32GB Ram, M.2 SSD.
Tried everything, from lowering centre speaker on speaker system to tweaking ZxR software, voice boost is off for main character at least in the settings, I wonder if for some reason it's stuck on anyway?
