New update is dope, the game is running smoother for sure and It is definitely appreciated, but please, like seriously, can we get a fix to one of the most important things to this game which is the PHYSICS of the clock? I'm not sure what goes into fixing this but please give it some attention. This is the same thing with Origins and Bayek going up stairs, it would jump all of the time and it wasn't never fixed. Don't let this be a repeat please.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Hello there,

As we can confirm the behaviour of cloth physics in-game is working as intended, we will now be locking this thread. You can read the full statement from the development team regarding this investigation below:

We can confirm that the behavior of cloth physics in game is not a bug. We regularly introduce quality-of-life improvements to the game through Title Updates and share the details through our forums. While cloth physics is not currently a priority in our pipeline, we'll look to review this feature for potential future improvements if the opportunity arises.

If you have any additional feedback you would like to share regarding the cloth physics in-game, then I recommend that you create a thread within our General Discussions forum.

If any changes are to be made to the cloth physics in-game, then this information will be made available within patch notes shared in the News & Announcements forum

    Thank you! 🙂

Coming from playing origins I am extremely dissapointed in the cloth physics of Valhalla, the cape and outfits being main part of the game (the cape being important for blending) I am super so dissapointed to see that in the final build the cloth physics are awful, the cape is like cardboard, and I bought the valkyrie outfit hoping the coats might be better but even that was stuck to the legs with minimal movement from them, as someone who works on games myself this is a detail that should be important, it destroys immersion and makes for less impressive shots in game. Please fix this if it is indeed a bug.

I'm currently playing xbox one x and pc and both are the same.

@zeroassassin23 agree, and there were physics effects in previous AC games. I don't know why the effects just basically disappear in Valhalla

@zeroassassin23 unity has good cloth physics, but ever since ac origins it went to [censored]. Dont know why. perhaps they will bring it back for the next ac game. I would love to see stylish cloth physics like in bloodborne. Also better looking animations, especially that parry animation. But I have to admit Ac Valhalla finally has a decent animations and it barely glitches this time, I haven’t seen any weird teleports during the combat finishers which has existed on every ac game. Don’t get me wrong the previous games has elaborate animation but it was usually left for finishers and most of the time it’s glitchy. there could be more animation glitches in Valhalla but I can’t run the game longer than 10 minutes without crashing. And I too was disappointed to see how stiff the cape was. Maybe if they didn’t add an equipment on the back, perhaps they would have designed it to look more dynamic.

This is so true ! That cardboard cape is terrible !! (cloth physics in Origins looks sooooooo real). ... So bad animations and graphics in Valhalla ! It was supposed to be wonderful, after all the know-how acquired in Origins and Odyssey... I'm also deeply disappointed.

None of the clothing in game seems to have any physics. All capes, clothing, etc on both player and npc's is very stiff and jitters when walking up or down stairs. Recently a gameplay tips video was released by Ubisoft and you can clearly see cape physics working.

    @darth_yes Hello!

Thank you for sending us your feedback about this. I am personally unsure why there is a difference if your graphics settings are high, but I will forward this to our team!

Cloth physics aren't working for anybody and it seems not many noticed it. In the video it seems like another build of the game, maybe the released a beta version for us?

    Hi Ubi,

I am looking for help on an issue I have, whenever running upstairs or jumping onto objects, the physics on clothes bounce and almost flicker. They seem to be glitched.

Here is an example, this is happening constantly btw, it never runs normally.

I noticed that when walking/running up and down stairs, the cloth physics on Eivor sort of has a seizure. Like it resets to the beginning on every step.

Not game breaking by any means, just noticed that it looked odd.

@spilledcoffee4 happens to me too. Is this a pc only issue? It looks even worse with the cloak and hood up when you are walking slowly up stairs, incredibly distracting and ruins the mood. Someone at ubi please help.

    Happens to me too
    Ps4 here

This looks so much like unfinished work, and not only going up or downstairs, when I walk happens too.

Thank god... was starting to think I'm going crazy, but yeah, there are barely (none) any mention of this - Valhalla release version doesn't have cloth physics.
Or at lest, if it has, it dosnt work properly on some (all?) platforms/setings.

It ternes some armor sets from ok/good looking ones to just really ugly... especially capes, or things like floppy feathers(?) on upgraded version helmet of brigantine set.

    What the heck happened?

Thank you all for adding to this thread; your personal opinions and experiences make it easier for me to raise it with the team.

I am unsure when I will receive a reply but when I do, I will let you know 🙂

Final query: Can everyone please confirm if you're on PC, or a different platform?

@vinokah It seems like a physics processing glitch to me.

@ubi-raziel I'm on PC but it's a global issue. Just watch some random gameplay video on youtube and you'll see that nobody has proper cloth physics like in the ubisoft video.

Update 1.0.4 said that it would fix the cloak physics but it still has no physics at all and it's still glitched af when walking the stairs, what a joke!
