Hello.
I died after picking up two opal's in Rygjafylke. When i picked up the opals, the icons (from the map you buy on the store) dissapeared, but after death they were back and no way to remove them even though i already collected the opals at the location.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Hello all!
I have merged together several threads about opal markers not disappearing from the map after being collected into a single megathread. I apologise if any ongoing discussions have been disrupted by this merge.
The issue where previously collected opal markers wouldn't disappear from the map has been marked as resolved in TU 1.1.0 by the development team. If you have collected an opal and the marker still shows as available on your map, please don't hesitate to update this thread so we can take a closer look. Please include images/video that shows the opal has been collected, but the marker is still on your map.
I would also like to take the time to share our support article about collecting opals, and how these can only be collected once per game.
Any Opal that you collect will be registered to your account, meaning that once you have picked up a piece of Opal it will not appear again if you start a different save file with the same account. Similarly, any gear purchased with Opal will also be bound to the account it was purchased with.
Thanks!
Hi just seeing if anyone else noticed this. If you find an Opal on the world map, then reload to a previous save file from before when you found the opal, you can no longer collect the opal again. Despite the fact if it shows up on the map or not.
Are Opals link to your account? Meaning regardless of save file/playthrough, once you collect one its permanently stored.

same as the previous game since there account bound they later patched it to make it so every save has it checked off ( so you know which is collected reguardless of new-game or previous save
have the same problem playing for 5 hours trying to start a new game then all opal map suddenly reappear on the map eventhough i've already collect it before...so annoying please fix this...
I'm also having the same problem after playing for a few hours died and noticed it was back. I also tried to start a new game and now all opal map are back on the map even though I've already collected them. Please fix this.
I picked up a couple Opals then fell to my death and reloaded from a manual save. When I came back later the opals were still on the map but the are invisible and I can't pick them up. Also can't loot corpses in the snow unless the fall just right. Playing on an Xbox One X.
Same Problems,
Opals didnt dissapear on the map after u died whitout safe the game.
I buy the Map extension which shows me the collectable items like Opal, after loading the icons displayed on the map again.
Checked it again but there is nothing left but the icon is shown on the map and with the Eagle.
Hey there,
Apologies, I am not so sure what you mean.
Are you saying that you have the collectibles map and have gone to the location, grabbed the collectible, but it still appears on your map despite having it in your inventory?
@ubi-swaggins yes it is in my inventory. With the collectibles map i can see all collectibles on map, if i collect it, the icon/marker disappears but if i load the game all icon/marker of the collectibles are displayed again on the map although i have already collected these objects, the collectibles which i have collected remain in the inventory only the marker is back and does not disappear anymore on map or when I look with the eagle.
@cyph3rx2 Very strange indeed, can you provide a short video detailing this so I can send it off to the team?
I have this problem also. I have the complete collectibles map purchased and have problems with the opals markers. After I collect one it seems to be account bound and reappears on the map if I die. The item does not respawn and is still in my inventory. I tried creating a new game and the markers are there without anything to collect.
