Can’t complete ‘crushed dreams’ world event in Eurvicscire. After reading the letter I did not receive the fisherman’s ring in my inventory.

As it turns out, this has been reported to the development team for further review. Although I am not able to speculate on when this will definitively be resolved, I can assure you that they are investigating a solution at this time. I would suggest keeping an eye on the official Twitter for Assassin's Creed moving forward, as this is where they will post new information regarding patches and updates. Can't finish world event A Love Letter- Fisherman's Wife (Crushed Dreams) I even didn't get the ring after reading the message

Hello All,

I've I'm 85% of the way through the trophy list but one of the one's I really want to finish, Completionist All The Way, I can't because of a bug with Crushed Dreams.

Short Description: I have investigated the crushed body, I have defeated the bandits, and I have provided the ring to the wife in the fish market. The mystery (I believe) completed and has since come back and showing as unfinished. When I go back to the town with the wife and use God Sight, I still see the wife lighted up but I cannot speak to her.

Started to occur: It started around the beginning to mid January.

Can I recreate the issue: No, I am not able to recreate this issue

Troubleshooting tried: I tried going back to the original mystery site and have found the necklace as loot and returned the wife but could not speak to her. I have tried killing the wife and unable to do that (I'm unable to hit her at all).

Computer Specs: Using PS5

I have not yet reached out to support as of yet.

Any thoughts or help would be great. Thanks!

@beanhead_87 I am in the same boat. I've done everything including trying to kill the wife. Nada.

Contacted support and they verified that this is a known bug. No idea when, or if it will ever be fixed. No way to track it. No way to beta test (if a fix is ever released). A response for this thread was escalated but noone seems to have answered yet.

The newest update didn't fix the issue for me even though the changelog mentioned a fix for it!

From changelog: "Addressed an issue in Crushed Dreams that prevented players from completing the world event as the wife is in a dead state."

My problem is that she's not even there at all..

@eniora I'm terribly sorry to hear this! I just wanted to check, have you tried reporting this to our team at support.ubi.com for more detailed documentation in our system? Additionally, have you tried going through our technical troubleshooting guide? Those steps are quick to complete and can actually help to correct bugs.

As an update, this was not fixed as part of the newest patch.

Why can’t you just add the option to reset unfinished world events? That would solve pretty much every little bug that pops up.

I can’t close this event because I’m unable to go talk to the fisherman’s wife and that’s probably because after picking up the note, the ring wasn’t added to my inventory.

This one event is all that i need to do for the platinum trophy.

and no, I can’t just find the note in the inventory, that’s also not there

I’m on the PS5 and this is an ongoing issue from December so I don’t have have the ability to send in a video and it’s far too long ago now to do so anyway.

when I go back to Scarborough coast, the man under the Boulder will show a faint blue smoke effect when I focus but I can’t interact. I can’t pick up the note again, and the enemies on the cliff above won’t/don’t respawn there.

when I go to Picheringa, the wife and her friend glow a bright blue when I focus but I can’t interact with her.

ive attempted to reload, travel out to another region and back, exit the simulation, change gender, played other missions and came back but the event won’t reset and won’t allow me to complete it.

it would be so much easier if I could just reset the event and start it over.

I cannot complete the Scarborough mystery. I picked up the ring, but it isn't in my inventory, so it doesn't allow me to speak to the NPC in Picheringa.

I cannot complete the Scarborough Mystery. I looted the dead npc, and took the ring before fighting the bandits on the cliff. However, the ring is not in my inventory, so I cannot talk to the NPC in Picheringa

@menstruelmayhem I have the same problem, tried to shoot the body or set it on fire but nothing works.
