Hello @Father-Jack,
Thank you for the update! I'm sorry to hear that the workaround didn't help. I'm also glad that you were able to complete this event regardless. Happy gaming!
I additionally checked the status of this reported issue and it's still being investigated by the development team. Once we have more details, we are going to let everyone know through the patch notes and this thread.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused by this and if you have any additional questions, please let us know.
@uniquities I was having the same issue could start it get in the house and escape but couldn’t get her to turn hostile. But what did eventually work was to go in the house move the case/shelf thing immediately and then when she starts her laugh jump out the window before she finishes laughing. I think there is something bugged about her finishing that laugh. I hope this works for you.
I'm still having the same issue. I've already made it into the house and back out, killed the boar and snakes, and she's still continuing her singing. The door remains unlocked, so there's no issue there, but there's no interacting with her. She walked a ways away (behind the large boulder to the right when you're facing the house) and I tried to lure her back, but doesn't seem to help. I've tried restarting the game, leaving the animus, changing Eivor's gender, pretty much everything I saw online. Any other thoughts?
@trai1b1azer I used petra's arc to get a scoped shot between the movable object and the barred door. It's a little tricky, but you can do it. Move up a little, and not so close to the window. I went through the now unlocked door, the door now locks you in, gas fills the room, old lady laughs, move the object and head out to take her down. Event completed. Done.
Hello all!
Thanks for continuing to share your experiences with "Lady of the Lake" within this thread. We've passed these along to the development team as part of the ongoing investigation. At this moment in time, we don't have any new information to share from the development team. Once we have any new updates from the investigation, these will be posted within this thread and in the "News & Announcements" forum.
@Servanis443487 & @WoLfEnNuTs - Thanks for sharing how you were able to complete this world event! Hopefully these steps can help other players encountering issues with this world event.
@oliviasutton - Thank you for sharing what additional troubleshooting steps you tried. Would you be able to let us know which platform you play on (PC/PlayStation/Xbox)?
Thanks!
@father-jack Brilliant. After trying everything, this worked. When she was not responding to anything, killing the snakes/boar, entering, re-entering the house i saved the game, exited, and loaded the save point and it worked straight away.
Thanks for updating us, @Trai1b1azer! I'm glad to hear that @Father-Jack's workaround helped you to complete this world event.
For those still affected by this issue, I'd recommend trying the workaround to see if this helps you to complete "The Lady of the Lake" mystery:
I had visited this World Event earlier and had escaped the house, but the lady was far too powerful for me to kill and so I left it until later. Coming back later, the lady was singing on the other side of the small bridge near the front of the house and could not be talked to. The house was still unlocked, but escaping it again through the window did not help. Then I quick saved/loaded right behind the house. I saw the lady was now walking toward the house, and when I approaced her she became aggressive. I defeated her and the event completed normally.
If you are still unable to complete the world event after trying this, I would like to reassure you all that the development team intend to resolve this issue in a future update. We don't yet have a confirmed ETA for when this update will be released. Once we have more definite information to share, it will be posted within this thread and in the News & Announcements forum.
Thanks!
Yes, I had the problem for weeks where after nearly completing the event, the lady is just wandering around in the forest, always friendly (green dot over head & white glow in Odin's sight view). Not killable! I have sicced dozens of wolves, boars, etc. on her, but she just kills them. I went back many times over weeks, but nothing ever changes. Often she's over 100m away from the house!
Here's how I finally finished this event (it was my last one remaining!):
Let me know if this helps anyone else. Worked for me!
Hello there @altenbach! Welcome to the forums
Thanks for sharing your experience of "Lady of the Lake" with us, and for sharing how you were able to complete this world event.
Your workaround sounds quite similar to the one @Father-Jack shared in this thread previously as well! It sounds like creating a save in the event area and then reloading the save triggers the Lady to become hostile. I'd recommend players affected by this issue give this workaround a try to see if this helps you to complete the world event.
Thanks!
Just restart the game. This works on xbox series X. Make sure you close the game after going to home.
@lbkfan restarting the game does not help on the PC. I tried in many different sessions over weeks, but I am actually not sure if I ever did a manual save/load during that time, except for the one that fixed the bug.
It is possible that loading a manual save will do more extensive sanity checks and conflict resolution, while the typical "autosave/load on new session" does not do that. Just guessing. Something for the programmers to investigate....
UBISOFT your Lady by the Lake Mystery is still BUGGED. After talking with her The Lady will not approach the hut' The game camera pans to the hut door but it remains locked. She just continues to walk around and you cannot interact with her after the initial contact.
Hello there @ChuckKatse!
I'm sorry to hear that you're unable to progress with "Lady of the Lake." As shared in my earlier posts, the development team intend to deploy a fix for this World Event in a future update! We don't yet have a confirmed ETA for when this update will be deployed. As soon as we have more information to share regarding this fix, it will be posted within this thread and in the News & Announcements forum as soon as we are able to.
If you have not already, I would recommend trying the workaround shared by @Father-Jack, as this has helped some players to complete the World Event:
I had visited this World Event earlier and had escaped the house, but the lady was far too powerful for me to kill and so I left it until later. Coming back later, the lady was singing on the other side of the small bridge near the front of the house and could not be talked to. The house was still unlocked, but escaping it again through the window did not help. Then I quick saved/loaded right behind the house. I saw the lady was now walking toward the house, and when I approaced her she became aggressive. I defeated her and the event completed normally.
Thank you
