Game freezes period

Before the festival I was getting freezes in Ravensthorpe First from using Odin's sight, now just from being there after then current update. Game freezes, then shuts down back to the home screen. Now, with the festival, I can barley get past round six in the brawl because of!? you guessed it, random freeze and shut down. The game is a failure and at this point, you ladies and gentlemen should just pack it up. Don't release games on corporates standards is the platform of the issues. I understand the epidemic has created turmoil in the industry but how much of that are we really going to say is the problem.

@irishnin9 Hello there. I'm really sorry to hear about these consistent crashes. You'd mentioned Odin's sight causing them for the most part originally, then things just happening regardless. Can you let me know if any specific action seems to be causing these crashes now, or do they seem to be random?

@ubi-wan Me, too, it appears to have begun either with the 1.2.0.247 update or due to the latest Xbox One X update 03/17/2021.
The freezes happen not just in Ravensthorpe but seems to be when I am fighting and clicking buttons quickly. Not certain if this is the only precursor of the freeze, but I have been able to get through the fourth fight in Ravensthorpe without a frees.
I have suffered at least half a dozen freezes in a day, and this persists after the suggested power-off procedure...
Does appear to be one or both of these updates are implicated. The freeze persists until game crash-exits or I shutdown Xbox or quit game.
The Xbox has not frozen in any other game, just Valhalla so far. I don't know how to check if I am setup to send you crash info.... -
@eggplantacorn2 Okay, I experienced freeze looking for bonfires to light--- so it is possible my freezes are related to Odin sight, as I could possibly be pushing down on thumb-stick when in the heat of battle...

I appreciate everyone adding to this thread. Have you all completed the troubleshooting steps that my colleague Ubi-Wan shared above for the Xbox One? We would strongly recommend completing these, since they typically resolve similar performance issues. In addition to this, sometimes clearing the cache also fixes similar crashing issues. To do this, please power down your console, then unplug it from the wall for at least two minutes. After two minutes have passed, please go ahead and plug your Xbox back into the wall. Let us know if these steps improve the crashing issue for any of you!

@ubiexcellent Yes, I have and still get the freeze. This time on my second fist fight.... There appears to be a real issue that came in this update. I agree with iTzl30BBY above the game is nearly unusable in this condition. I can last 5-10 minutes before the freeze.
Please tell us what to do if you cannot repro this serious bug yourself.... -
@eggplantacorn2 Thanks for the quick reply! It sounds like this is mainly occurring in and around Ravensthorpe, is that correct? If so, I'm happy to say that the Assassin's Creed Valhalla team has just posted about such an issue on their Twitter page. Further updates about this will be posted there and on the News and Announcements forum.

Yes, mostly in and around Ravensthorpe, but my answer is not definitive since I have not explored away from that location since the 1.2.0.247 update.
