In round 8 of the brawl festival the goliath likes to fight you floating in the air. He only periodically comes back to the ground. The blows still land and it works. Just looks frigging stupid.
On an another note it would be nice to know how many rounds are involved as I got bored after 10.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Hello all!
I've merged together several threads about being issues encountered during the Yule Brawl together, so we can keep all this information in one place. Apologies if any ongoing discussions were disrupted by this.
This issue was marked as resolved following the end of the Yule Festival. I will now be locking this thread.
If you require help with any other issues, please check out our megathread list, or open up a new thread.
Keep an eye out for future events within our News & Announcements forum, as well on the official website.
Thanks all!
@jsrg1840 Hey there, thanks for reporting this. Were you able to grab a clip of this issue occurring? I'd like to know if these troubleshooting steps help in getting the game to run more properly. We also appreciate the feedback on a counter for rounds!
@ubiwan
Could you elaborate on the last point please.
@ubiwan
Basically what happened was when I got close to the goliath his model went up to "shoulder" height of female Eivor and the fight carried on as if nothing was wrong.
I'm having the same problem with the Goliath floating in the air during the match. It's also frustrating that the dodge/slow time mechanic doesn't seem to be very effective with the Goliath. It worked every time in the earlier rounds.
I’m having a similar problem but also some different ones. After I lost my focus random npc’s will walk into the ring and will be walking in place in the middle ( only one per round) and others will be walking into the fence.
With the Goliath fight, both him and the npc that walked in both elevated up in the middle of the ring and so did I at one point.
Also I don’t know if these two are bugs or are intentional but at the start of every round the fighter will run in place until I get close. And the fighters that jump around and slap I can’t hit until they hit me, idk if it’s just them being hard to hit or what.
Also my second try at it, round 3 started with me stuck to the drink table and no fighter spawned.
I’m having the same problem after round 6. Basically I get stuck floating in mid air when I try to attack my opponent@jsrg1840
same, once things start getting tipsy (is that the butt leap guy?) it's almost like there's an invisible heap of something right in the middle of the ring. it would mess with my dodges and opponents started floating higher and higher, and several times I would also float higher as I passed the center, and I would come back down as I approached the edge of the ring. the whole yule brawl seemed buggy as hell though, i can't believe they released it and didn't just wait until the game was stable to start doing holiday theme junk
@roughnebula1719 Yes! I had rounds where I was trying to hit the other person but my swings went through them and didn't do damage until they hit me. I should have been doing something to them.
I am so sad that we keep getting half finished content tossed at us. When did testing and fixing stuff become the players responsibility? This Yule festival event make me sick that it was released in this state.
First of all the performance tanks after the yule update in the settlement. I guess snow is really gpu hungry?
But the arena fighting really makes me mad. Never have i seen something so broken before.
First of all there is something invisible in the middle of the arena that either blocks my path or the parth of the npc. sometimes we just get suck on top of it and end up floating in the air.
Then for some reason all of a sudden all I hit is air even tough i am punching him straight in the face.
Then there is the performance that seems to get worse and worse for every fight.
And then to top it off, EVERY single time i get to round 9 or 10(cant remember) the game crashes to desktop. EVERY TIME. So i have to quit the tournament after 7 or 8 rounds just to be safe or i will have to restart and do it all over again.
So disappointing.
@jsrg1840 The middle of the "arena" is bugged, as if there is an invisible object. Every start of a round, my opponent seems to struggle to get to me, because of that invisible object. When i run in the middle, it's like an invisible wall, sometimes hover me too in the air. The Goliath seems to like the middle at most of all opponents, thats why he is always floating there. So it seems, that there would be an object in the middle which had been removed, but not correctly.
I am playing on PC, if it helps.
i am having similar issues with the Yule Brawl, random Npc wander into the ring, floating opponents etc. but the deal breaker is final round, 10, I start and am frozen in place, only the view rotation works, and the opponent is lying on the ground motionless. No way out, no way to proceed, have to exit to title screen and loose all progress. Have had this a few times now.
I started the new yule brawl for my second time to try to get past the goliath and as soon as I started my opponent dropped to the ground didn't even get to swing and now i'm stuck in the yule brawl everytime I get on the game can't even leave the ring.
I was able to do the Yule Brawl and got to the Goliath and lost. Now, when I restart, the first opponent immediately dies and I cannot move. My only option is to go out to the title screen and reload.
