It's annoying to need to change armour and equipment one piece at a time vs. being able to hit "equip set" button in inventory like Odyssey and equip an entire set at once. This would make it easy to cycle through wearing the equipment sets you've collected. Also outfitting the ruins could be easier if they could be duplicated from set to set then modified if desired.

Please make this happen in the next update UbiSoft and please let me use my Spartan Bow again without it being demoted to base level continually since the river raids update.

Its just wierd its not in moedern games as Valhalla.

I mean even a game as old as Diablo3 has this feature, in a much better way then in it was in Odyssey i would like to add.
Its also weird there is no transmog system, again many much older games have had that from the start.

The point is that if olders games had it on a release and so many ppl like these kind of feature that its just totally crazy that much recent games dont have it upon release.

yes i play D3 still and i love, nothing wrong with that. For a game of 11 years old its still going strong. In fact it has no MTX and its still getting new content.
Ubisoft can really learn a lot from them. Prior to every new season they always do 2 week PTR to test new stuff.

@gloomseeker I don’t think it went through quality control before release. With all the bugs, missing features from previous AC games, and new modes being added as we go. It’s really starting to look like we paid full price to be beta testers for the AC Valhalla: Complete Edition that will come out at the end of the year.

@whocares78 It seems the same issue about releasing games not ready for primetime plagues many titles this year (aka CyberPunk, etc.) but for such an established line as Assassin's Creed and playing a latest game engine evolution three games deep that started with a super solid release in Origins and was expanded upon in Odyssey really leaves few excuses why Valhalla fell flat in these areas when you can pretty much just "cut and paste" to the new game and avoid issues. Some speculation....

1. Ubi parting ways (nice way of saying it) with their executive director guy who had been at the helm of the previous two games pretty much right before the release of Valhalla probably had some disruptive effect.
2. COVID hit during the final stretch of testing and QC which again had to play some disruptive effect in the normal final development process and combined with #1 above even more so.
3. Everything above while trying to break up the pattern of gameplay a bit adding the raids to the standard mix of story mode.
4. Others?

At any rate I still like Valhalla and following Eivor's funky mushroom trips through the discovery of Norse lore but I really long for a return to the pure Assassin protagonist role and story vs. the ancillary exploration of a whole time period and genre that merely brushes up against the Assassin's Creed core story. Until then, the river raids expansion was OK but I'm still hoping for additional story expansions like both Origins and Odyssey had months after release that added hours of cool story mode to work through.

@jcage89 Yeah, unfortunately releasing games before they are ready does seem to be a current trend. And I’d say your speculation is spot on about why Valhalla has the problems it does. I complain a bit on here, but I did enjoy Valhalla for the most part. I also didn’t experience any of the game breaking bugs others have. One Reda quest continues to act up, and one wealth in Hamtunscire didn’t want to count but I was keeping an eye out for that and was able to load a recent save and it counted the second time. I got my platinum. It’s just that the game seems not only unfinished but also rushed in some regards. Like the mushrooms that you brought up, at first they were puzzles then the rest were just generic defeat the enemy quests. Being an AC game I just expected more out of it.

I do miss playing as an actual assassin though. It seems like they have taken a backseat in their own franchise these past couple of games. Imagine how awesome it would have been to play as Hytham, taking out the Order and bearing witness to the history of the great heathen army invading England. And if Ubisoft wants to stick to rpg fantasy then in the end you could decide to either side with the Raven clan or King Alfred.

They just announced they will completly overhaul the follower system in Diablo3.
Meaning you can fully outfit them with gear and weapons and what not. Thats pretty cool tbh.

@WhoCares78 "Imagine how awesome it would have been to play as Hytham" I am hoping I don't have to imagine as I said looking toward possible story mode expansions on this still and since Basim is "driving" Eivor now (see the wink by the fire pit) wouldn't it be cool if they could work out a reunion of sorts playing on that whole premise?

As for the bugs, I had a whole separate post on that and unlike you I wasn't really keeping track of wealth or artifacts or mysteries registering as I went through story mode so I was fairly lucky none of those had glitched on me prior to the time I started paying attention to sweeping up the map and getting all the trophies after completing the main story. I was nervous that there had been some glitching because after investing hours in Orlog games and fishing and mushroom trips and stone puzzles, etc I had everything aside from completionist and legend and on my last (what I thought was my last) mystery the completion trophy didn't trigger. I combed back over England and Vinland and Norway but neglected to think about Asgard and Jotunheim because they aren't accessed on the normal map and I had cleared them when I originally played through. I realized when releasing a random Firefly I caught over by Valka's place that I should check those and sure enough looks like they added a few mysteries to each after I had last been there. Once I cleared those it triggered the completionist and hence the legend. I realize others have been hosed by the glitches so lucky mine had all clicked.

@jcage89 Fortunately I clear each region before I leave. Because had I left Jotunheim and Asgard uncleared I would have completely forgot about them. Not even a firefly drop off would have reminded me. My memory isn’t what it once was.
