@ubiexcellent for me, the anonymous thing only happened the first time I attempted the quest. It doesn't pop up any more. I'll make a video next time I'm on my xbox.

@x3ro-shikari This is exactly my issue as well, Checked in today's patch and it's still not fixed, I've had 2 saves and the exact same thing as happened on both, meanwhile others can simply reload and it's fine

@griffen346 still not even in the “known bugs” thread on here so I don’t even think it’s being worked on unfortunately.

I've got everything except for this one quest so it's keeping me from attaining 100% completion, I'm not restarting almost 100 hours worth of gameplay just for one quest that's bugged, We need a fix on these mystery quests

@x3ro-shikari Thank you kindly for posting this video clip! I've sent this over to the teams that are looking into this issue, in hopes it aids their investigation. In the meantime, if anyone here that's affected by this issue plays on the PC, PS4, or PS5, please share your save files with us on a support ticket, so we can look those over as well. For visibility purposes, please also post the ticket number on this thread, so I can make sure the files are received by the correct teams.

I also found the blind man first and was getting the "must be anonymous" message. I was able to complete this by first restarting the game, then completing the stacking stones at the Clee hill spring. Then the blind man just appeared out of nowhere completing his portion. I was then able to go pick up the lame dude.

I've just encountered this today and it's just typical that here's another bug that they should've been aware of for over a month now, Ubisoft really are the company that are just that [censored]

@conn_eremon I'm having the same issue I carry the guy up to the hill, he thanks me and then nothing happens.

Were you able to workaround that glitch?

After newest update still no fix for the quest, Blind man continues his dialogue and won't follow me while the lame man is face down in the spring without moving

I dont know how I fixed it, but here is what I did.

1. Picked up the lame man, put him on my horse, and ran over to the blind man so that their two dialogues intersected.
2. Took lame man up to spring and put him on ground where his half was completed.
3. Road back on horse to the blind man and I could suddenly talk to him.
4. Spoke to blind man and road him on horse to the spring, and the quest ended

Hope this works for other people because clearly ubisoft doesn't care to fix their own buggy game.

Same issue here, I did the hideout first then do the mystery so I wonder if the game doesn't spawn guys back in to kill

I can't speak to the blind man. Keeps saying I need to be anonymous. This games a joke at times

Not sure if anyone else has come up with a better solution. But I ran into the same issue. Brought the lame man to the spring and kept getting the "you must be anonymous" error. And it wouldn't even let me speak to the blind man.
I did a manual save. Reloaded the manual save. Did a fast travel away and then ran back. It allowed me to complete the quest with no further issues this time.
