Hello all,

I have a bug on a Vinland quest, I’ve completed the mission but the quest still shows. I’m at 100 hours gameplay (to achieve 100%) and I waited months for the sons of Ragnor quest bug fix jus to face this.

ive delivered the dead body and been through the cut scene with his wife, but the quest didn’t complete.

any ideas on how to fix this? REALLY do not want to have to restart the game, which I probably just won’t do at this point.

@lucaslb222 Hello, and apologies for the troubles caused by this issue with 'A Dead Man's Tale' not completing properly. Is it possible to load up a previous save from not too long ago, then see if you're able to complete this World Event once more without issue?

unfortunatlely no, the only saves I have include this mission. The quest marker just appears there now.

is there another way of resetting this or potentially fixing it?

After waiting so long to fix the Sons of Ranger quest, I’m really not going to restart the game over to fix this too to lose 100 hours.

Huge AC fan but this is the first game I pre-ordered at full price, and the only game I’ve ever had so many issues with.

@lucaslb222 I'm extremely sorry for the difficulties you've had, both with this issue and with the Son's of Ragnar quest. It is also completely understandable not wanting to restart the entire game, which would mean losing over 100 hours of gameplay. Has traveling away from this World Event helped at all? If not, please upload your affected saves to a support ticket, then share your case number here, so I can bring this forward to our development team.

Any idea when this will be fixed?? I just ran into the same issue. Gave the girl the body, she carried it over to the man by the fire who reacted, and even got the “quest completed” notification BUT the market is still there and the completion tracker on the map shows one mystery still missing.

@lucaslb222 did you figure it out? I’m late to the game but I had the issue but turned out there wasn’t one. The big elk I thought was the beast they spoke of wasn’t even it. I done everything and went back to see those people and speak to them. Have to follow 2 for a short bit and kill a cougar and then it’s all completed. I can still pick up that dead body, which is why I thought I messed up. If you haven’t fixed it maybe try that
