    Killed the hunter, Warlock ran off, but mystery not completed.. 😑

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Accidentally killed both the Warlocke and the other guy. Quest is bugged and offers no resolution.

    @c0rndaddy @Nightally Thank you for reporting this to us.

    Just to confirm, is the Quest still in your Quest log or was it removed when the NPCs were killed?

    @c0rndaddy

    I can confirm, at least for myself, that the quest is no longer in my quest log. Both NPCs were killed and I can still see the World Event Icon on the map. No rewards no completion.

    I saw both characters fight and both die, so I can't complete this mystery. Platform PS5. Any solution?. Thanks

    @Fat_Sad_Bear @kosmoscreed Thank you for reporting this issue to us.

    Were you part of the fight or did you kill the NPCs yourself?

    @kosmoscreed I also had this happen to me on PC

    During the Plight of the warlock mystery I accidently killed both the hunter and the warlock. The quest will not reset and I am unable to finish the mystery. I am on PC.

    @truenid Me too. I kept playing too and didn't reload my save. I'm on PS5 for what it's worth.

    Same thing has happened for me as well. I'm planning on getting the platinum trophy on PS5, so I don't think the trophy for completing the game 100% will pop. Do you think this is something that can be patched or should I just restart the whole game over?

    @ubi-baron I killed the NPC's myself. Do you think this is something that can be patched retroactively to be marked as completed? I am planning on getting the platinum trophy and I'm assuming this quest will prevent me from getting the trophy that is 100% completion. I'm about 5 hours in and need to know if I should start the game over or not.

    @ubi-baron

    I saw them fighting, so I thought I'm going to help one of them, so I killed both or I killed one and the other die because the other NPC killed him in the same instant I was attacking. Either way I was taking part in the fight.

    @ubi-baron I let them fight it out, they killed each other at the same time.

    I accidentally killed both the warlock and the hunter with the same sword strike.

    Now the event won't complete. The marker is still there, where you first meet the hunter, but nothing happens.

    Is this bug under investigation?

    Sorry for the late response, due to the high volume of contacts it has taken longer than usual to respond.

    As this is an old thread I have locked it. If you are still experiencing issues with this world event either you cannot replay it or the icon remains on the map after completion, then please create a new thread and copy the link to this thread. We would also need to know which platform you play the game on and if you could also provide a video of the issue. We can then report this to the development team to investigate.
