@maaaaaaik
Yes, there's nothing of interest there. I was just thinking of locked things that had never been opened!
@spirantcrayon22 That house was used during a story arc quest, but the developers never created a breakable window or entry in the gable after the event was completed to allow for repeat looting.
There was a thread about it a long while back... which you actually posted in recently (hehe).
@thenorfolkian
Ha. Yes, I knew I couldn't try and open it again as I'd already done it, so suggested it here as a vaguely-possible "can't get into this one" option. Silly idea even at the time but this stick is a weird thing - but almost certainly restricted to something in Svartalfheim.
@thenorfolkian
It was in a quest? I had sort-of remembered it as a thing that looked like a leftover from a quest that never made it to the final cut. A while ago now, though!
@spirantcrayon22 I remember there was this house in Jorvik that was barred from the inside and it drove me nuts that there wasn’t another way in like most such structures. And then I discovered that it was the freaking exit point for a nearby dungeon.
@thenorfolkian
Now I'm more confused - it was an exit point for something? I don't think that's how I broke the door, think it was when the rush'n'bash or whatever worked for opening it.
Oh, Jorvik, right. The Pickering one was just barred with no way in except for the now-impossible method.
@spirantcrayon22 The rush and bash worked on the Picheringa door before the patch? I never tried that... I used the explosive arrow or the Valkyrie jump.
When I picked up Wood Stick, Havi said: "This belongs to the castle."
So far we have two clues → it belongs to some castle and it fits into the lock in this castle. But which castle? I did not find any castle in Svartalfheim. Is palace considered as castle?

ok my fault, your text make more sense.
on my language can be lock also castle and eivor was speaking very quiet
@maaaaaaik Remember when Basim logged out of the Animus on the wall in the house there is a picture with the royal castle apparently when he runs to the Eivor bones of the tomb and comes back, the image is said to change, Dark Strider claimed. Maybe it's about the Castle in this picture
The message provokes reflection... Wooden Stick for chasing away Shadows at Night... Havi said, "It belongs to the castle." maybe it is about interacting with this Wooden Stick at Night in Castle or this picture on house at Night Basim looged out then , maybe then we will see Odin's eyes with one Havi's eye something more. is it really a puzzling message of a Wooden Stick with a funny message in the Castle to open the lock at night? Wooden strange magic stick... The Wooden Stick must be more than that. This weapon cannot be improved, it is very strange
You remember Odin's Runes deception Odin illusion The Wooden Stick to chase away Shadows? at Night? smells like an optical illusion to me... this well makes me wonder? Manius that has not been opened missing artifacts I wonder if this wooden stick can not be improved in Jotunheim to be something more than just a stick and we do not know about it yet... I have a feeling that this Wooden stick can be improved somewhere in some place and only then will it be used...
in the patchnotes for 1.5.1 they fixed something about runes in DoR and it was written "We reached into the depths of Helheim to bring them back!"
i guess we get another dlc and the wood stick mystery will continue
when eivor sit down on the bench beside the woodstick location he is looking to the big red roots on the horizon. And this is helheim!
@maaaaaaik
I think the roots are related to Muspelheim, not Helheim. Just a figure of speech if you ask me.
I think the runes fix is related to the items that automatically upgrade to Divine quality, any runes attached to gear that gets upgraded in that way are lost - maybe they fixed that.
Regarding DLC for the DLC, I had that thought, too, given the Ancient Halls are closed. Some players have taken pictures down there, though, so they found a way in somehow. Then again, in the patch notes there is a comment about fixing areas that are off limits, which could mean Ancient Halls, but I don't know anything more.
@spirantcrayon22 Agree. The fix of the rune is linked to the objects that automatically upgrade to Divine quality; any runes associated to gear that gets improved in this manner are lost - perhaps they fixed that.
