Game Won't Load - PC

Since downloading the latest update, the game won't load. It takes over 10 minutes to get to the title screen where it shows Assassins Creed Vahlhalla - Press Any Key. Pressing a key does nothing. It appears to be related to a very low frame rate as the embers that are usually on this screen are static and not moving.

Similar issue here. Just updated, game won't load. I see the process kick off in Task Manager, ACValhalla... just sits there, no CPU usage, memory at 19.1MB, no disk.
