  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    @asgardian02 you gotta just keep chopping at his legs. Those are his weak points, and every so often the health bar will drop, followed by a quicktime sequence to strengthen the binding.

    @asgardian02 The Fenrir fight was fine for me, even before patch 1.1.0. I think it took a couple of attempts (I was underpowered at the time).

    This bug should have been fixed.

    Hi there! Thank you ziggurcat and ThoughtTwenty for your suggestions! Asgardian02, we are looking into similar instances of this occurring. What platform are you playing on? Also, would you be able to provide a video from your gameplay that shows this? If so, just post it to YouTube as unlisted and post the link here.

    @ubikobold

    I am playing on PC.
    I am not a streamer or a guy who tapes everything, i also left Asgard after a few tries.

    @ubikobold It felt to me as though that was how the fight was supposed to be by design. I just kept hacking at his legs until the prompt to tighten the binding popped up. The weak points showed up as a different colour when I pointed a bow at him, so I figured that that's what I had to do to defeat him.

    @ziggurcat

    why do weak points only show up when you aim with a bow but never when you fight melee?

  • ThoughtTwenty

    @asgardian02 You can't "aim" a melee weapon, so there's no point.

    you aim by facing the right direction, otherwise you wont hit stuff.

    Notheless diamond runes that say: hitting weak points still work though right when only fighting melee?

    @asgardian02 Sorry, I was being vague. You can't aim a melee weapon at a specific body part on your opponent, therefore highlighting the weak spots doesn't matter.

    And you can apply runes to bows as well as melee weapons, so "weak spots" only applies to runes you put on bows.

    Had to the reload a couple of times, but in the end i pushed through bugs or no and finished the arc.

    Then you get a cinematic cut where they show how all the aesir lords drink a cup and go to battle, which is pretty similar to the cinematic cut you get after you have completed all the animus anomolies, so whats the story there?

    "why do weak points only show up when you aim with a bow but never when you fight melee?"

    because it's designed that way? *shrugs*

    @ziggurcat

    yeah well, but that also means that a lot of diamond runes are useless to melee players but not the other way around

    I've been having similar issues every since the game CAME OUT. I still haven't been able to beat the game because of this unfinished quest. First it started with just not being able to do damage to him, then i tried a week later and he was stuck under water, then i came back and he just wasn't there at all but his health bar was up, and then it started that when i tried to go into asgard, as soon as I load into the new location my character is falling through a dimensionless space (I think it's the ground) and then I die. When I respawn, it just happens again. I've reached out to support and they said to watch this forum for answers but it's been so long now. I might just have to restart the entire game in order to finish it. I've put about 120 hours into this game though.
