Moved Favourite Weapon for Horseback? (Other than bow)

I've been having a lot of success fighting the Zealots from horseback using a hunter bow. I haven't tried any other weapons from horseback yet.
What weapon have you had the most success with on horseback? -

uhmmm you cant use any other weapon from horseback in valhalla, its now no more the a footstomp.
which is weird as horseback fighting was always part of gameplay -

After I posted I tried . . . and I was confused about why my flail didn't seem to work. Now I know why.
This sucks. I enjoyed that aspect of gameplay in Origins and Odyssey. -

@r0qi it is weird. Although it wasn't common in the historical period, it did happen. Read Asser's biography on King Alfred about the battle of Ashdown. He writes than mounted warriors persued the fleeing vikings, killing them into the night.
It's even weirder as it is in the most previous assassin's creed games too.
