I feel as it would make the game ten times as fun if it was playable with another friend like a two player co-op and can be done very well with the commanders you create in the game you could play as them while the other as evior making the game more fun to tackle on. I also feel that if you both played it you both share the rewards, if you raid a place then you both get it. I also feel that there should be a power limit so people are not abusing the system. I think it would be really fun especially playing a hard difficulty and you and your friend trying to take a tough enemy on. Let me know what you think and share the idea to others because I would really like to see this happen.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@jcar4327 huh really i would imagine it more of a dark souls feeling fun but something that doesn't but in the story
If the 'Curse of the Druids' (Ireland DLC), & 'The Siege of Paris' is done & ready, I'd rather they brought those forward! Given the success of the 'Yule Festival'. Just bring those seasonal features forward as well. So I can finish this game, & look forward to the next AC game. I just can't see myself playing this for a year! Adding co-op, or multiplayer won't do anything for me. But if players drop out of the game in droves, it wouldn't surprise me if ubi would consider it.
@on3ofseven pls no, multiplayer would be the perfect excuse to put more and more nonsensical microtransactions, this as a single player already has a lot of ridiculous microtransactions, cant imagine how is going to be if it was a multiplayer... plss rethink your life choices
@thegardener25 yea i would rather see the dlc come out first but I would like to see it happen with only two people ya know cant wait for the dlc though this games amazing
@karloz1995 I do not see how they can add microtransactions in a multiplayer system you create the commander and unlock multiplayer when unlocking the barracks plus the microtransactions in this game are not even that bad and not all of them are even good there really just a couple of quests and pure cosmetics .
@on3ofseven i would agree with you, if not where that there is not much content in the game, and that a lot of the gears in the helix shop, were already in the base game but locked to be sell for credits.. after you finish the main story, there isnt much to do in the game.. also if u see that there is an helix shop armour that regen your health while fighting, welll. that means it isnt just a "cosmetic" stuff
@karloz1995 Yea thats but there's even a perk to regain health and that's only the portion that you lost while fighting. Even though it may sound dumb I had the thought of it today with one of my friends agreeing that a small co-op feature would make the game a little more fun and maybe have small little things like extra raids or something to entice it maybe bringing a higher difficulty with the co-op
@on3ofseven Id rather see them actually fix the issues the game already has not add more useless junk. Its been since 12/19/2020 and the only thing they have done is add the yule festival with no fix to any of the game halting bugs in the giant list of bugs that have been found. This game dev has turned into a joke.
@dabpanda I haven't ran in to any major bugs small ones like beer disappearing but yea i'm having fun with it and of course I wanna see the game in its best state before this, I just think of the fun of co-op you customize your commander and go into your friends game raiding and fighting tougher zealots. idk just a thought it's nice to know that others are seeing big bugs bout the game tho.
@on3ofseven The last time they did co-op it did not go well. The game would freeze constantly while you were in missions. Sometimes objectives could not be completed. And, this is a single player game. For myself, I do not buy single player games to play multiplayer, there are enough of those out there if I want to enjoy some multiplayer action. Much rather they work on fixing the bugs, of which I have encountered very few; and, continuing to improve the single player experience, like more quests, gear, weapons, and activities.
@on3ofseven Yea I put 80 hrs into the game during the first week it came out before i stepped away, I had almost every bug in the list that they have found happen. In those 80 hours there are 3 restarts because the game would no longer let me progress in the story and non of the work arounds were working for me. If it was nothing but small things it wouldnt be a big deal but the bug list they have is huge, and i still see things added to it every time i check. Ive lost all interest in the games this company will produce, ill be keeping a eye open to see if they fix this so i dont leave this unfinished. But anything after this im just going to skip getting.
It depends if they do it better than Liberation.
If a) all content could be completed solo, and b) all content could also be completed co-op, I think it would be pretty fun. However, it's certainly not a feature they can just easily bolt in to a game - it would have to be a design decision made very early on in game development, so my opinion is that it's too late for Valhalla, but maybe a future game could revisit co-op.
I agree with rankinsect, all content would have to be able to be completed solo/co-op. I did not enjoy in Unity that you could technically do anything solo, but It was extremely difficult to complete some of those co-op missions solo. However I think for Valhalla co-op is too late. Unless they somehow made castles re-playable, or somehow were able to really put pressure on stealth, I just don't see how Valhalla would benefit from co-op when it's already so easy solo.
Now if they wanted to add pvp like brotherhood-black flag, I personally would enjoy it a bit, but I think they would have to add alot to the pvp mode, not a copy and paste from black flag. Although it has been so long since I played those, that I don't really have an opinion on what to add/change cause I don't remember.
Bottom line though, I think they have enough stuff to fix/add before they should worry about multiplayer in any form.
I'd prefer to see more effort in terms of story development and DLCs to the main single-player game. over a MP that will require upkeep and updates as well.
Maybe a CO-OP system for raiding or something that they attempted in unity but executed better that tied in with the SP aspect but a definitive MP nah I'll pass.
Even though I used to love the Old ACB & ACR Multiplayers.
@sii_frederic I liked Black Flags MP as well as the other versions from the earlier games. I definitely would be against them bringing back that kind of multiplayer, but I would be really iffy on co-op because of the Unity fiasco. I really would like to see them put a lot more content into the game, which I think we will get, but because of the seasons format they have chosen it will be a year before we really have what the base game should have had at launch.
@jcar4327
true. If anything they could introduce a mission builder as odyssey did. improve on the mission building system constantly and then the community would be able to make content for the game throughout its entirety, possible add in a way to create your own cutscenes for custom missions and also make a way to string/connect multiple missions into a quest line. I also liked the leaderboard training scenarios from ACB.
Maybe add a "Creation Kit" style of program that say a season'd Open-World RPG Like Skyrim has and fully welcome modders to making content for your game. then in that regards MP would be removed from the question entirely.
If there were to be multiplayer, a band of Viking warriors conquering a castle like those in main story pledging quests would perhaps be good online co-op chances
