I heard that there is an update to make the mastery challenges easier. If that is true I would like to know that date because they are way too difficult.

Not sure if this is true of all AC Valhalla 'templars'. So i wanted to ask. This member wears bright silver gear, large heavy shield, and wields a one handed long sword. He is lvl 90 not sure if it helps. I ran into him at power rank 33.

Is that why i cant not stealth attack him? I know i can just come back later. But it feels very shoe horned.

I really wish this game didn't keep seizing control of the camera. I am constantly taking damage from enemies hitting when I am waiting for the camera to come back under my control, or dodging into a crate and getting hit because I don't have control of the camera, or attacking the wrong direction because I don't yet have control of the camera. I wish I could just turn the damn thing off. No seriously, make the stupid kill-cam optional. I killed 5 wolves in row and got a kill-cam for each one. I don't care if your team spent 5 years making those animations as a labour of love, I just hate them every time now.

The kill-cam is related to another thing. I also really dislike the way camera operates in most other parts of the game. The way it swings in and out of dialogues and interactions. OK, I get the swing in as it changes the scene and leads into some special interaction, but just let us quit when we are done. This game has all these weird pauses where you have to wait for the system to do its thing. Break a crate or obsidian (assuming your avatar is not just waving their weapon while grunting wildly in the wrong direction)? Hang around for a while to see if there is something to pick up because the game doesn't make it available until it does it little "cool graphics" thing. I miss just being able to hit the use key and pick stuff up. I feel like I am constantly waiting for this game to untangle itself from itself.

I hate the numbers option in shop dialogues. Go to a shop, wait for the camera to get into place as the dialogue starts... skip the dialogue because after the 100th visit to a shop I could care less. Wait for the number menu to appear. Use the number system and so on, hit "esc" and wait for the number list to appear so I can see what allows me to leave because even if I know the number I cannot choose it until it is on-screen (couldn't have just made exit to be hit escape twice?). Once I have chosen to leave I have to wait for the camera to waddle back into my control before I can leave the shop and not just stumble around crashing into furniture. I am having ptsd about the first game when it was 11 steps to quit the animus to desktop.

So much of the infrastructure of this game feels like a previous generation. Sure, in the first patch they added some inventory sorting. (How the heck do you make a game in the last 10 years not know inventory sorting is going to be a thing? Have they not played big open world games?) There are going to be more runes than anything else in the player's inventory, lets make them not stack and put them first so no matter what they are looking for they need to scroll through 3 pages of runes to find anything. Want to look at the treasure map or quest item you just got, scroll past 100 runes and fish before you get there.

Don't get me started on not being able to interact with Reyda without listening to him tell the same story over and over to the children. I have had to hear it 5 times just to check the shop. What mouth-breather made that a repeating feature? Once fine, over and over? At least let us still initiate dialogue. Reyda segues into the dialogue problem that is travelling dialogue. You are going somewhere and an npc is sharing story or mission info. As long as they talk the brakes are on and the travel is slow, only when they finish can you walk or ride at normal speed. This is just a non-skippable cut-scene. The devs could have just as easily put it in a skippable section and teleported the party to the destination, but no, if you are playing that section again because the game crashed, you are hearing the whole thing all over again. Making it interactive doesn't make it better, it makes it worse; I can't just let it play while I watch tv or something. It is a cutscene that I have to babysit. Ugh

Its all these kinds of design decisions that make me consider this game a step down from both Origins and Odyssey.
