Playing on PS4 with the latest patch (2.00). These are the bugs and oddities I've experienced while playing for about 10 hours today... it's been pretty bug-free prior to this!

    (1) I've had the game crash at least every two hours (error code CE-34878-0, although other games are working normally).
    (2) I am no longer able to manual save, autosave (icon shows but nothing actually happens) or fast travel in England after starting the Jotunheim arc (yet I can still fast travel and save normally whilst in Jotunheim and Asgard).
    (3) After starting the Jotunheim arc and being unable to fast travel in England, I am also unable to fast travel / return to Norway.
    (4) I have since started and completed new quests in both Jotunheim and England but this doesn't resolve the issue, nor does reloading saves.
    (5) Oddly, if I complete a quest in England and want to save, I can then return to Jotunheim or Asgard and save progress (thankfully).
    (6) Lastly, I've attempted to start the Lundun arc although the game stops at the gate quest marker and only allows me to move the camera and access the menu (this forces me to reload a save, since the character is technically frozen).

This really isn't good enough for a AAA game developer, especially a month and a half after release. I know I haven't experienced the save corruption bug (yet) but this is seriously hindering my progress and enjoyment of the game. I'm seriously considering shelving this game until it's fixed. Ubisoft, please sort yourselves out!

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Update to my earlier post (playing on PS4, update 2.00)... Completing the Asgard / Jotunheim arcs (and getting the related trophy) didn't resolve the issues. I am still unable to manual save, autosave, or fast travel in England, and cannot fast travel to Norway. If I want to save progress I have to travel to Asgard or Jotunheim, where it will allow me to manual save. So frustrating 😞

I think I resolved (or rather got past) my save / fast travel issue occurring in England. After completing the Asgard and Jotunheim arcs (where I could save and fast travel) I started and finished the Lundun arc. The issue I had with starting this arc was that the game stopped at the gate quest marker and only allowed me to move the camera and access the menu (this forced me to reload a save, since the character was technically frozen). The way I got around this was approaching the quest marker from the wall and jumping down to it from the archway. Since completing the Lundun arc, I haven't experienced any further save or fast travel issues. 🤞
