Everything in game completed besides killing the Father

Saved Halfdan’s arc for last, after
completing and coming home to and speaking with Sigurd then returning to see halfdan near Scarborough. Nothing happens. I’ve seen that hut ham is supposed to appear outside of his workshop but this doesn’t happen either. Help? -
