I'm Drunk and lost my gear

This topic may have already been posted if it has I cannot find it.
Every time I log in to the game my character is drunk. This doesn't effect the game play but is really annoying.
The second problem I had was when I was at the shop in East Anglia. I bought and sold some items, needed more silver so went to the Ubisoft store and got a small silver pack. When I returned to the game all of my upgraded Berserker gear was gone and I was naked. I also lost the runes on the gear as well. I loaded a save game and the Berserker gear came back into my inventory albeit it was not upgraded and none of the runes were there.
Is anyone else having these issues?
