The case of the missing ale

Has anyone else had the bug during the yule quest "the case of the missing ale" where the barrel literally disappears? I've reloaded and retried this mission several times and each time the barrel disappears when I set it down for a moment.

@abstractsauce90 Yes. Myself. Since the update the game is full of bugs, I can't finish the quest you said and another one the first night in Samhain.

@abstractsauce90 Yeah the mission is really buggy. There are tons of posts on here about it. One has a picture of the actual location you need to take the barrel because what comes up once you pick it up is wrong. I will try to explain in words though. Once you have the barrel go straight out the door and down the walkway in front of you. Once you come to the road, where there are two guys patrolling on horses, turn left and follow it to the rivers edge. When you get about 125m from the water the marker will update and you just drop the barrel at dudes feet. Hope this helps.

My quest bugged out to(PC). I had retrieved the barrel and my game showed that I had to bring it to some random place in hamtunscire. 3200 meters away. I thought how the f am I supposed to carry this barrel over there. I got a small boat and got it close to shore. First time I dropped the barrel in the water trying to get it on the boat and had to reload a save. I paddled all the way just to find out the quest marker is now traveling about 100 meters a second out of the map. So I reloaded a save again, but the quest marker still showed that random spot in hamtunscire. Had to watch a youtube video where you actually needed to go with the barrel. When I got to the guy the quest marker corrected itself and I was able to finnish the quest.
