Seriously. How [removed] are the devs over at Ubisoft that they actually patched dive of the Valkyries level 2 breaking barred doors before real actual game-breaking bugs ruining the game for millions such as the daughters of lerion corpse trigger which is effectively locking Thor's gear behind a game-breaking bug. Using dive of the valkyries to break barred doors actually made the game better, not worse. But somebody prioritized patching that while the game is drowning in real bugs like crashing to desktop every 5 minutes , and other extremely bad bugs. I really just can't imagine what kind of developer sits there and actually says, I'm going to fix the code on dive of the valkyries while my players cant even play my game. Who are these people?
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@shaiwan43 You mean that was not part of the game mechanics? WOW, how dumb are these developers? That is all I used to open the doors through out the game.
@jmetch There's a lot of developers working on AC Valhalla, a lot of them. It seems likely that the development teams work on issues that are within their expertise, and if bugs are experienced by all players (regardless of platform), they're easier to track and fix.
Bugs that are only experienced by some players in certain circumstances are harder to diagnose and fix. I know this is painful for people having these game-breaking issues, but sometimes issues (particularly on PC) can take time to resolve. Those issues affecting more players tend to get prioritised more.
Verbally abusing developers and companies doesn't help, at all.
@thoughttwenty its many people on the forums that have the game breaking bug for the quest I have. It has been notified to them over 1 month ago. Just hate it, that developers now rush a product to have the gamers be the test subjects to fix the game. Its not right to pay full price for a game that you cannot progress in due to bugs.
Hello all,
Just dropping in briefly to request that we maintain a respectful, civil tone towards each other and towards others when participating in discussions here on the forums. Please avoid slurs and other derogatory / discriminative terms or further action will be taken as necessary according to our forum rules.
The developers are working on the next round of fixes at the moment and we're keeping everyone updated on the status of these fixes in the appropriate threads over in Player Support. Don't hesitate to reach out in a thread appropriate for your issue if wanting an update, or else just wanting to share your experience.
Thanks!
@ubi-woofer
can you blame them ?, the dive is prolly considered a exploit, and need to be fixed asap, while game breaking bugs are still present
dive was a good way to open those [censored] dum barred doors, but not anymore, how about fixing the real bugs like that stupid haloween cloak
@jmetch Of course it wasn't!
"Barred from the other side" are part of "puzzles" so the entire point is to establish how to get inside without using the door. The fact that the devs didn't catch this exploit shows lack of polish and playtesting.
@animuslover I don't think that's the case. I've seen one barred door that can't be approached from the other side and requires an action on the outside to get it open.
We can't really expect the developers to test every single game mechanic against every other mechanic - there's just too many possibilities. Personally, I'd rather figure out these puzzles.
@thoughttwenty All barred doors are supposed to be opened from inside, or shot at from a side or behind.
The dive was an obvious bug/exploit which could be game breaking in some cases (when you can get somewhere you are not supposed to be yet according to the script). So it is good they fixed it.
Be happy that shooting the breakable walls with explosive arrow ability is official game mechanic apparently and we don't have to search for an oil jar abd a way to carry it there every time.
Each barred door or weak wall is a puzzle that needs to be solved properly , thats the beauty of this game and I am really glad this exploit was fixed I even send ticket to Ubisoft where I ask them to patch this. Nice thing they did.

I'm so happy that you are happy dj0rdje12. I'm sure it was very traumatic for you to have to suffer the knowledge that other players could open some doors in a single player video game. You are so strong and thank you for submitting your ticket to ubisoft. Meanwhile, I paid $100 for the game and I can't even play sections of it because it's so bugged and broken. But who cares right? those doors are locked now that's what matters.
Ubisoft please offer a refund like Project Red and admit your mistakes. Or you can follow the route of not rushing game after broken game to the stores across the globe.
@kormac67 A little bit of trivia from me: there are at least 2 "puzzles" that can't be opened from the inside. Some require you to throw a torch under the door so the spilled oil triggers an explosion and breaks the lock.
One such puzzle is in some village near a watermill. There's a small cellar-like room that can't be accessed from any other way.
I really don't mind these barred doors and really just shows that people are not capable of doing some basic problem solving. Once you learn the patterns, it's super easy finding the solution.
@teh_greg Yeah, the watermill one was the one I was referring to. Took me a while to figure that one out.

Thank you my friend I am glad you are happy because of me. Also thanks for praising my strength , I feel like true drengr .
It pains my heart to know you ( and others ) suffer because of game breaking bugs that wont allow you to progress in this game. I know that I would certainly be very upset and probably angry , especially considering I really like the game and that would prevent me from enjoying it.
As I said those barred doors are puzzles and puzzles are like bosses . The more challenge , difficulty , suffering bosses offer ,the bigger is satisfaction after you defeat them after all that struggle. So same is with puzzles you feel similar satisfaction after solving them . Using exploit to solve them takes away that good, proud fealing, so I would like them to be removed and let the game be played properly .
I hope future updates will solve your and other issues that prevents you from making progress in main story.
