Hey so as the title says I’m trying to do the quest The Hunting Grounds but the npc Olav won’t walk he is just stood in his cave.

this quest bugged out a long time ago so I don’t have a previous save to load back up and I’m 118 hours into the game.

I have tried saving right next to him and loading the game back up with the quest tracked and untracked but does nothing. I have tried going back to England and Norway and coming back with the quest tracked and untracked but again does nothing. I have tried having a feast in my long house and then going back but didn’t do anything.

I was hoping that the 1.1.0 update might help and it fixed a few other follow type quests.

with Olav not moving he does open up the merchants for me so I can’t get weapons etc but that’s not really a problem as I can kill all enemies in the map except the legendary animal. It is the fact that this quest needs to complete to that Gorm spawns that is frustrating me as I only need Gorm and the head of the order to finish them off

i do remember that when it first bugged out I went and got the chest behind him instead of following him as I didn’t think it would be a problem

Stand on the fire. Once you get a bit burnt he starts to move. Also untracked quest beforehand.

Yeah that didn’t work

Anyone else with suggestions?

I have the same issue AND i also opened the chest first after the cutscene rather than following him so that actually might be the issue.
Also i cannot interact with any merchants etc, but like you i killed/looted everything else on the map i could (including killing the legendary animal with bare fists :P).

Also i have bug for the "Saint Faith" - world event

at the first encounter i was able to interact with the priest (but he were near the tree and not where he should).
After the talking i went to the nun but nothing happened so i restarted the game, now they are in the correct positions but i cannot do anything, there's no interaction with the priest anymore so i cannot finish the world event. The priest just keeps yelling no matter how many times i restarted.

I tried to verify the game files for both bugs, but they are still there

I'm playing on PC with Xbox controller.

Thanks for the reply and letting me know I’m not alone, I’m playing on ps5. This bug has taken the wind outta my sails and I’m starting to lose interest since I can’t finish killing all the order

This worked for me. Stand in the fire until you die. After the reload, Olav started walking. I don’t know if it mattered or not, but I did have the quest untracked too when I did it.

I untracked the quest, fast travelled back to England and then back to Vinland again.
Tracked the quest and ran to Olav.
When I arrived he immediately started walking.

Still stuck with him not walking but thx for the suggestions

Sadly there is no way to get my save file off my ps5 as I have the ps5 version of Valhalla, it is still worth me submitting a ticket?

also I tried doing the license thing and it didn’t help but thanks for the suggestion

Any update on hunting grounds in vinland olav not working tried all sorts tracking untracking. Punching him burning him and myself. Fast travel to other regions I was 50% threw the game I've done all the region's jutenheim and asgard yet this still the issue. Shame love all the creeds but thinking uninstalling this now so sick first known issue of this reported November ish it's now middle of February.

This is still an issue. More than a year later
