I didn’t even try that egg hunt carry on, the whole game is a mess and every update is making it worse.
After playing nearly every AC game all these years, to me this is by far the worst in terms of being broken and not being taken seriously by Ubisoft, when we have all tried to tell them it’s broken and to please (with sugar on top), to fix this.
I’m actually really tempted to ask one of those spoilt brats who review their games on YouTube to talk to Ubisoft, since they listen to them rather than their actual customers.

sounds like a no buy Ubisoft games boycott could be on the cards.
Anyone actually think in this day and age where companies or high profile celebs can’t get away with crime anymore, that a company like this can get away with selling faulty goods??

@doronikgjcs Yeah, I jumped from 94%, I think, completion to 100% completion after 1.4 patch.

They keep giving us new things just fix the darn fishing so we can finish it PLEASE

Did somebody here was able to find one of those two fishtypes now or before in Valhalla?

I found all other fishes and delivered them, just those two are missing.

Also after update 1.2.0 I am not able to catch large fish with a bow as before. The fish just starts bugging and keeps flying in highspeed away from me. Either Ubisoft are forcing us to use the intended way to fish or this is just a new bug (the visual glitches of the flying fish are definately a bug).

For me it would have been a better "Godly Gift" if they had given everyone 5 big flatfishes and 5 big mackarels, instead of a Altair outfit without any cloth physics that they could have released since launch threw Ubisoft Connect (like the Bayek one). I just want to finish those deliveries and get the tungsten ingots and the achievement. The sword is something i dont care about because it is ugly as hell and just stupid.

This thread should be re-named. I can find all fish except large eel, flatfish and mackerel. Those are the only three I've never seen. 550 hours with a lot of fishing done. Xbox.

Yes a new name would make sense.

I got large eel i think. My settlement is at level 5 and i dont know if at level 6 there will be new fish to catch but there are only missing two types for me: large flatfish and large mackerel...

Hi - any idea where you got the big eel? I've not hunted for them a lot, to be fair, as I'd read that they aren't in the game either, but I've done a fair bit of fishing where eel generally do spawn and only caught small and medium. Cheers.

I’ve finished the settlement & that one is still stuck there for me. So no new ones yet. Not checked since the update. As mostly I’m refusing to play until this nonsense is sorted out. Not buying the DLC either. Lost themselves some money there with their lack of interest. Or incompetence. Maybe both who knows at this point.

I don't went searching for any fish, I just started fishing when I felt like doing that now and got nearly all fish by now. The only ones that are missing are big mackarel and big flatfish which are clearly not in the game by now.

I finally found two big flatfish somewhere in an lootbox in a hut. Sadly, I can't remember where the hut was located, but im pretty sure that it was not part of any active (side-)quest. By the way: I couldn't reproduce finding the two big flatfish by loading an earlier savegame (that's also why I didn't keep in mind, where the hut was located, because I thought it might be coincident). Perhaps ubisoft made the finishing of the fishing challenge part of some upcoming (side-)quest, and the two big flatfish were in that lootbox just by accident? Reminds me a little on that Nodens Arc Bow, which I luckily found before they could "fix" it.

I also remember some random house where I got two big fishes (but not flatfish and not mackarel because i have 0 of them and never sell any fish). Maybe this chest gives out random fish depending on the current level...

Sadly this is too late for me to try again...

Regardless, we should find out where this was. I also don't remember because of all the bloat in this game and areas you never will remember again.

Why is this still only listed as "under investigation" like we are all making this up? This should have been fixed a long time ago but Ubi is still acting like this may or may not be an issue.

You can have a look on how a Flatfish is behaving when fishing it.

Small, regular or big ones looks like the same when they approach you or are about to catch your bait. Before that, they behave normally with their original form.
Of course, it is strictly impossible to catch it while in this state if a regular or big one (can't be sure of its size like this..).
In the other hand, even if the small ones are also in this state, you can still catch them.

I noticed the Halibut specie is in the exact same physical state for all its sizes.

I'm on Xbox Series X, btw.
