Hey guys,
My game is bugged in that half the alliance map didn't open. I'm starting a new game to see if it unlocks likes it's supposed to this time, but I don't to put another 90 hours in to find out it didn't open. Cent, Essex, Suthexe and others never opened for me. Can someone tell me when they are supposed to unlock?
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Suthexe is story-related and need to have had
spoiler
before it'll unlock. You'll also want to knock out everything else available on your map BEFORE going to Suthexe.
Essex unlocked for me later on after doing lots of other arcs.
Cent, IIRC, was before Essex but still later on.
Also, since you can technically do them in any order, the unlock order changes slightly. Safe bet is do them in the order of their recommended level regardless of your level. That seems to be the way it was designed, however Eivor will comment on something during dialog if it altered an outcome i.e. "Already met him/her" or "I already did that" etc.. I did a bunch of the supplies rewards and and any settlement boost+ ones with priority over ones that gave out silver, and just did Suthexe and had last 2 on map unlock.
Guessing there's something you missed to advance the story. Talking to Randvi should fix it or maybe you need to do some raids to get your settlement more established as I seem to remember getting settlement from either 3 to 4 or 4 to 5 required completing a story arc to get the settlement + reward as I already did all raids. For what it's worth, having mostly player created vikings with excellent weapons and armor (have to look at the actual npc to figure this out) and hanging back during a raid on harder areas if low level, and you can slip though them. Also, poison trap is your friend.
Also, might need to read mail in your longship room after EACH arc. At least one of those will tell you to speak to Hytham later in the game.
