Or does this game hate Nvidia? I am constantly getting freezes and crashes since the last client-side update, I can't even. I'm going to buy Cyberpunk and maybe in another month or so this game will be playable again!
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

My Nvidia/PC works great. Sounds like user error, or one of the many other parts to a PC that make a game run smooth.
@quor321 glad it works well for ya but one person out of thousands that have bought and are playing this game does not discredit my experience. All of my other current AAA games run just fine, this one is the only one I have trouble with. How would game/driver crashes be user error? Am I not walking, fighting, sailing correctly and it's my fault this is happening?
@rpgfiend2139
More accurately I think Ubisoft hates the game judging by the slow patches and broken state of things.
@rpgfiend2139 User error as in your understanding of your PC not the game. You are talking about Nvidia, it's in your title. Takes more then a video card to run a game, lots of reasons a game could have issues even when others work fine. There was a driver update specific for AC Valhalla recently did you update? AAA games vary in demand on a PC, not all are equal.
@rpgfiend2139 Sorry if I should like an [censored], side effect of spending time on forums and other social media I guess.
Like most new games they never release perfect, and it sounds like console players are the ones really having a hard time, but I don't play console so my comments are just for PC.
All I am trying to say is it's a bit more complicated with PC's. And many people directly assume it's not on their end due to some fancy new GPU. More often then not with all games on PC it is a problem with the individual, or that individuals PC components and or software.
Valhalla is a graphically demanding game, I happen to have a newish above average gaming PC that runs the game fine with some minor tweaks based on what I have. So it will always be and should be the first place people look to fix the gaming issue when playing on PC. As I guarantee any gaming company when helping you fix your issue will be asking for spacifics about your PC.
@quor321 thanks, that is definitely a non-insulting way of putting it, but just because you know what you know about computers and gaming, I don't know why you would assume others don't know that as well. It's not like you have exclusive information, just something to think about.
All said and done, the game was running fine and then after an update it started crashing, Nvidia updated drivers around the same time and crashing got worse, logs point to the game and Nvidia driver as the culprit.
I would be happy to provide logs, dump file, anything and everything Ubisoft would ask for, if they cared enough to ask that is.
In case it was missed, changing the Screen settings to Borderless was the workaround.
@rpgfiend2139 I made my general statement because I don't know if people know or not about computers. Not trying to assume you or others are lacking in PC knowledge, but some are, so general it is.
Glad you found a work around, that does kinda prove my point. Sometimes just got to find that setting that makes it work.
I should have said "seemed" to fix it, just crashed again albeit was the first time in a couple of days.
