Upgrading buildings did not work for me

Well I've finally managed to kill Dag. It took me 13 days and restarting the entire game.
This time around the quest worked as it should. Ravensthorpe wasn't that upgraded, around level 4.
I made sure I did the Valka luggage quest and the quest in which you get the Wolf companion ability. I've also finished the first chapter of Asgard.

None of you will be happy to restart the game, but we also have no idea if Ubisoft is going to patch this issue or when. We also don't know if restarting actually works a 100% of the time.
I myself am finally past this point in the game and will now continue with the story.

I went back to before the valka quest triggered, doing that to see if it's made a difference. Will suck because that means giving up like 45 hours but hopefully that's far back enough for me

@zlarches03 I checked and it should be after settlement lvl 3. Im at level 5 and never got any Valka/Asgard quests.. so guess its another bug

I have opened a support case and provided Ubisoft with all the information they could ever need to investigate the bug. (They responded as if it was a clientside issue, recommending obvious solutions I'd already tried such as restarting my console or reinstalling the game)

This is not our issue. It's theirs, for releasing a game without properly playtesting it and ignoring users who report the bug for over a week.

Same problem here, very similar to the description and the video posted except my Dag just raised from the dead after few seconds with half his life. (Just add this comment to put more pressure, I know that I don't add any relevant information)

I have this same problem where I can't progress in the quest. It seems like no matter what I do I go rest in the bed and then wake up with no quest marker and dag just walking around as a hostile npc. I've tried to reload earlier saves and try again, I've tried skipping through all the dialog, and none of it works. I'm on ps4 BTW, and I just hope there is some workaround or an update soon, but both seem like wishful thinking at this point.

So just got word that there's going to be a patch tomorrow morning (Thursday 11/26) at 7am EDT/4amPDT

Here's hoping it fixes our problems!

I am downloading the patch now. Does anyone know if this solves the problem? Gonna be so [censored] if it still doesnt work and U have to replay 40+ hours of gameplay....

This quest is still not on the list of known bugs.... so I am a little worried they didnt fix it in this patch, but we will see

Yea lw wanting my money back

Delete game file (not saves), redownload game and update with patch 1.04, solved it for me (ps4) don't know if it'd work again but once was enough got past it.
