Quick Suggestions

Hey everyone, first let me start by saying this is by far the most engaging, fun and beautiful of the AC games and Ubisoft have really outdone themselves with this one.

Now to the pressing issue, I’m not sure if my issue is intended and I’m just stabbing my self in the foot but hear me out.

Im currently playing on the hardest difficulties across the board. Combat and Exploration as I enjoy the challenge. However due to this game using power level and I like to get most things and I explore as intended to complete most of the areas as I do them. Thus my power level is capable of sky rocketing above the suggest area.

Im currently 110 with 84 points to spend so able to be 194. I’m working on Oxfordshire and I’ve come against the last boss (I’ll refrain from names due to spoilers). This boss is power level 196 yet the area itself is 90 and I’m unable to defeat them unless I put my skill points up to match them (I have no issues with bosses of areas being slightly above the suggested for area as that makes sense but 196 seems excessive) I hold back my skill points so I don’t massively overpower the mobs in the areas but now I can’t help but feel like I’m being punished for wanting to keep the game engaging?

I can also say that when I came across my first Zealot they were indeed power level 90 and I was merely 30 or so then so I didn’t kill them I left them. By the time I’ve upgraded my own level to 90 I was able to be around the 147 mark with unspent skill points and those few level 90 Zealots had all also increased to around the 150 mark even though the Order page says ‘Suggested Level 90’ on them.

This is also the case for the legendary beasts except I’m not 100% sure what power levels they’re ‘supposed’ to be in the first place I can just safely tell you I’ve been to the same one twice and each time its level has been around the mark that my power level ‘could’ be if I spent all my points.

I was under the impression this game has no built in scaling system so is this increase in bosses power level.. is it due to my difficultly (Drengr, Very Hard) or is this in fact unintended on the devs part and we have ourselves quite a serious issue?

If someone could get back to me on this that would be great as I’m now unable to progress without forcefully spending my skill points.

    Thanks in advance,
    -Bobblegob

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

I'm experiencing the same issues. I'd say that I'm in the mid-game phase and exploring a lot. That's why I earn a lot of skill points, which I'm holding back for the sake of the intended experience in each new region. Bosses, Zealots, etc. are scaled to my power level + unspent skill points. That's really a bit annoying. Could it just be possible to ignore unspent skill points für boss scaling?
