The glitches I have experienced within the past day have me taking a break from AC Valhalla!! From the Defensive Measures glitch, now to an autosave glitch.
For some unknown reason, auto save stopped working for me about a week ago. I was forced to manually save. I'll discuss autosave further below.
Today after getting King Alfered's medallion, fast travel became unavailable. I had to ride the horse all the way from Altheny to Ravensthorpe. When I get there, a side mission for Gunnar to be married becomes available. I decided to do it before handing Hytham the rest of the medallions. After completing it, I am forced to do Randvi's side quest. I complete that one as well. I get stuck, only being able to go to Valka's hut, which was glitched as well. I couldn't even drink the potion to head back to Asgard (probably to die again since the Defensive Measures glitch is not patched).
When I looked to see when I last did a manual save, I notice I have autosave files!!! One file, which looks corrupted, has "0 hours, 0 minutes". I tried loading the autosave files, one by one, except the suspicious one just described. All are after me doing Gunnar's side mission (when the glitches began) minus one. That file involved me talking to Alfered again. When I get back to Altheny, I walk to where the cutscene suppose to start. But, it doesn't!!! I can't talk to King Alfered!!! I'm lucky the autosave didn't delete any of my manual files!!! I'm at over 100 hours of gameplay!!
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Not only glitches but no information in reference to getting Thor's Hammer or the Gungnir Spear. In addition, they are end game weapons. Why End Game you have completed the entire story line at that point. It does not make any sense. Not one quest even mentions them or even where to find them. I still don't know how videos have been made telling players were to go to get them.
I somehow managed to finish this game despite the plethora of bugs. So much time wasted having to load old saves, trying to figure out workarounds, Googling fixes for bugs/glitches or just simply giving up on certain quests/points of interest because they were glitched.
It should be illegal to release games in such a broken state.
@emac0455 the game is crashing way more than it used to after the 1.0.4 patch on PC and almost none of the game breaking issues were fixed, I don't know what they've patched for... and meanwhile they're so eager to update helix store items pfffffff..... they need to fix the bugs before milking the players.
Do any of you notice all of the passive perks disappear after fast travels? this means majority of higher level runes(diamonds) are useless. I noticed this while I was collecting diamond runes, testing with different armor sets. Even their helix store armor set has bugs the "Draugr set" if you look at the set bonus description of the armor it has the perk icon which will show up just above your health bar when the armor bonus kicks in, the icon displayed above my health bar does NOT corresponds with the icon in the armor set description, some weird icon appeared so I did little digging and it turns out that the weird icon displayed above my health bar is actually the "Hidden one's rune" perk icon...lol, and I gotta say at this stage where the game is at.... it is absolutely ridiculous. This is the beta version not the finished product they need to accept that they released a flawed product.
@stallattack This game reminds me of Elder Scrolls Online. They are more concerned with keeping their Crown Store up and running than fixing their numerous bugs and performance issues. Also if you use a PC and keyboard to play AC Vahalla forget trying to do the standing stones. There is no option to lower the stones using a keyboard you need to use a gamepad to have that option. All you can do is drop them which destroys the stack.
@bob__gnarly
Sorry mate...i know how u feel...
It is like i sell u a watch who stop a few in a day but his instruction doesn't specify that at n o'clock he will stop for n minutes...
U see the point?If we, consumers makes refunds cuz they lie us..cuz we cannot procede in main storyline because they dint finish the game, they are in big troublers.If consumers makes appeal in theirs country agains them, consumers will win.It is not normal to sell something not finished/not work properly if a company din t mention this!
I like the game, AC story( i m new from oigins)but i dislike how they threat us.i pay for subscription and even now, at 2 weeks afar, they keep block 1 month payment cuz see the q & a at double payments subscription.They lie...2 weeks and my bank cannot unblock the amount if ubi dont send a meesage for refund...
@stallattack I'm on PS4 and it's crashing A LOT for me as well. Before the latest patch I had like 35 hours of play and zero crashes. After the patch – 4 crashes in 4 hours. I haven't played the game in well over a week so I hope they fix the crashing issues in the upcoming patch. It's so bad.
