Experienced Travellers (Question Mark NPC's)

Hi all
Im trying to complete 4 areas in England with just a few artifacts/mysteries to go.
I noticed after a while the experienced travellers dont update the map after paying the gold for info and alot of them now are just flat out not giving info.
Ive figured they are tied to the area they roam so i dont ask for info in a completed area.
Anyone else have issues with this? The only other option is just to cover every inch of the map but sometimes that doesn't work. -
@coach811981 I'm experiencing this same issue. Artifacts work about 10% of the time. Mysteries never work.
