So — it’s been a slow burn, and one with more than a few bumps, but I’m really starting to enjoy Valhalla.

Im thinking why does Breakpoint get so much dogged attention and ongoing commitment to improving that game and implementing user feedback? Why not other Ubisoft games?

Because Valhalla is a game worth improving. There’s a really immersive and decent game here. Unfortunately it’s buried under a continuous barrage of graphical glitches that constantly undermine experience. As well as poor enemy AI, and combat that could use some tweaking.

So I’m just saying — stick with this game Ubisoft, it’s worth it. With some more polish, improvements and adding new features, it could be potentially the best or one of the best AC games to date.....

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

id love to see a survival mode. With more survival / immersive type mechanics. That would be great....

I’d like to see something similar to FC Primal.

Stamina gets slowly depleted over time.

Health and stamina can be regain by eating or sleeping.

Also a reduction in density of wildlife (less populated) — making hunting more challenging and engaging.

Berries now only regain a minimal amount of stamina but does not restore health.

    @daelosthecat

    Yeah would like that too.

Although so far I’ve thought exploration is one of the highlights. That said I don’t know how repetitive it all starts getting after you’ve completed a few regions.....

Im early on in the game.

@lamoi It becomes kinda repetitive. All depends. For me it wasn't THAT repetitive tbh even tho I basically did the same things over and over again. All the set pieces looked rather unique (with some exceptions) and every region had a very different feel and sometimes even totally different color palettes. The little side quests are all rather unique, some are better, some are not that good but they are all unique and are breaking up the repetition.

Small example: East Anglia is all mixed. Norwich contains old roman ruins, saxon and norse architecture. Also the NPCs reflect that. In other regions you will only see saxon architecture or even norse architecture. And of course there are also the picts and others.

@lamoi It becomes very repetitive. All you're rewarded with are either skill points (which you no longer need after a couple of cleared regions) or resources (which you don't need either unless you want to upgrade every single piece of gear).

This game is so unique with the Viking story, and it's amazingly beautiful and detailed, to me, it would be good all on it's own, without all the Assassins Creed Animus stuff. Maybe just like a spin-off with the whole Brotherhood thing mixed in.

I haven't made it to the end yet, and I admit I'm not HUGE on the whole Assassins Creed backstory, but, THIS game could have been named just "Valhalla" and it would have been good enough!!

Probably gonna get hate, but, just how I see it.

I'd love to see a game with NO BUGS AND NO GLITCHES.

@black_widow9 i'm really enjoying the journey as well, the skill tree has an amaazing set of combat skills and the landscapes are beautiful, one thing is lacking is the one handed sword in the arsenal of the viking , i know that the dual wielding skill allows me to use a big heavy sword in one hand but a handy sword was used as well by the vikings at that time, furthermore, i encountered some glitches that compromised somehow the quality of a solid work, the last update didn't really fix much, i hope that there'll be an update to beautify the game even more !

You said it; I can't believe I have sunk 200 hours into the game and am still enjoying it post-game. But yes the game has so many bugs and glitches which should have been discovered before launch

i would love if dual wielding would be implemented better, how is it dual wielding when your left hand doesnt do anything and you have have to swap your left hand wapeon to ur right hand in order to use it?? makes no sense and feels super clumsy.
The left hand you just move alongside the right hand, but yeah that would mean a whole lot new fighting movements implemented so wont happen.

Just boggles my mind that ac odyssey had such fluid combat and then their next game is so clunky 😞

@asgardian02 Don't know if you've played lately, but dual-wielding works pretty well now, especially for spears or 2-handed axes.
