For me I was able to go up to the investigation puts the last point to be investigated does not allow me to interact (Scroll caves in the Roaring Meg's Spring).
I'm stuck too. Asgard and I had a bug AEC quest "defensive measures" now when I go to Asgard I die because I'm not in the famous shield.

During the quest, when you find the body of Hunwald's father you are supossed to find the brooch as proof of his death, however I had already found it before starinting the Lincolnscire Story arc (while I was exploring) and the game doesn't recognize the brooch that is in my inventory. I can't progress any further from the part where you're supossed to find the brooch. I tried reloading the save but since I already had the brooch in my inventory the bug still happens.

@kurfang The exact same thing happend for me. Wonder how long it takes to fix. Hope they are working some serious overtime on this one.

@ubikobold I'm also having this issue, playing on PC. Unable to proceed with the quest line to turn in the brooch.

No crash but same.bug here i cant do anything

I have a similar bug on PC, when i went out of the caves during the mission i went for the castle, but on the way there i came across one of missions for Reda and i finished it, then i turned the game of as i had to do something else. Later when I turned the game back on, the mission stopped tracking, i can choose it in the quest menu, but it doesnt appear in my HUD or any markers on the map. Because i remembered where i needed to go, i went to the castle and found the brooch but i could talk to the women next to the body, then i tried going to Lincoln to give the brooch to Hunwald but i could, so now i am stuck and cant finish the game. When that happend i was 30+ hours in so i went and completed every other region and now this is the only one that remains. I hope Ubisoft fixes this, because i really don't want to replay 70+ hours of gameplay at this point.
I also tried verifiying files and everything else listed above but it dind't work

I tried verifiying the game files, reverting to an old autosave, nothing helped. I really hope this gets fixed as I really like the story and want to finish it soon

Same here. I can't start a new game. 88hs playing

So I started the Lincolnsore arc and as I always do in any new area I went exploring for new Armor/Chests and Etc. Well I went into the old Lincoln Sewers and got all the stuff in it and left. I started the story Arc and started the quest In the absence of an eldorman which leads you into the sewers and out to roaring meg's spring. Well I get to the End where roaring meg's spring is and the body's I'm supposed to see and search arent there and I've loaded and reloaded and fast traveled and did everything I can and it wont correct. I'm lost and dont want to start over because I went ahead and finished all other area/alliances hoping it would sort fix it.

Ran into this problem yesterday. Incredibly annoying to have to grind to a dead halt like this. I hope they fix this in their next patch.

I’ve gotten stuck on the mission “in the absence of a ealdorman”. Whilst exploring before taking on the quest I found the brooch and now in the quest it won’t allow me to progress with out searching the box. Is there a way around this as I found this a while back and will loose a lot of progress.

I'm on PC and I have an issue with a quest, but I'm not able to contact the support directly, so I thought I'll post here. Thing is I'm stuck at the step "Discover where the sewers lead" in the "In the absence of an Ealdorman" quest. First of all, the quest doesn't appear in the top left corner of my screen while playing, although it's the quest I'm currently following (see both images below). But that's not really what bothers me.
The real problem is, when I get through the sewers to Roargin Meg's Spring, there is no dead body to investigate where there should be some ... So I can't continue the quest. (see second image below)
Of course I already tried meditating or fast travelling out and in again, going back to the beginning of the sewers and make all the way down again. I tried killing everybody, even in the baths up there and around, but nothing made the corpses appear.
Any help or workaround would be much appreciated if someone already met this issue.

I have this same problem and my progress went to a grinding halt. I really hope they fix this in the next patch.

@donfurinkazan Use your Odin's sight to pick up clues in the area.

@really_dazed Odin's sight sadly doesn't highlight anything in the area. By the way, I tried restrating the game a bunch of time and verifying the files via Uplay too.

I looted the brooch from the chest while exploring before I started the quest line. I am now up to the part in the quest where I need to get the brooch but its already in my inventory and the game does not recognize that I have it or have the chest to loot the item again.
