Moved The Game Is Not Starting

The game refuses to start and I end up with the Game Crashed! message after I try to start it from both Epi Games and the Ubiconnect launcher. I have seen this same issue posted elsewhere in this community and also elsewhere (and yes I have gone through all the motions - verifying files, run as administrator etc). Most of the other forums (including this) have simply given up and 'hope' for the problem to be fixed on its own in the form of some miracle 'update' or patch that will happen.
I very seldom make any post in any public forum as I am not really complaining type (and also run the risk of this being buried under other posts) - but I feel a little silly now after purchasing the game and downloading it and now just not able to play and am supposed to be okay with it.
This post is simply a shout out to any one who knows what I am talking about or can just help out because I really think there are a few of us. Any input is appreciated. -
I have the same problem.
It worked previously and I've played at least 55% of completion.
Just happened this weekend out of nowhere. -
@defencerx me too - everything was working fine and then suddenly one day it didn't - I tried everything suggested and nothing worked:
- moved all the files to the c drive
- reinstalled multiple times
- verified files
- reinstalled ubisoft connect
- turned off virus scanner
- added exceptions in firewall/virus scanner
- killed every running process I could kill
It sometimes randomly starts (only at off-peak times) which gives me the impression that it has nothing to do with my machine and is either a security issue (someone on my ISP is also playing and/or causing trouble) or their servers are somehow overloaded. -
@dr_aaagh @DefencerX Thank you for responding. well at least you were lucky enough to play it once. I just bought the game last week and am just sitting with it installed on my system wondering I should do now. I keep pressing Play time to time in the hope that it works sometime.

I finally got it running!
Setting the compatibility mode of C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\UbisoftGameLauncher.exe to windows 8 worked for me (and unchecking the 'run as administrator')
It seems to start really slowly compared to before but at least it eventually starts
