Ok so I have no clue if any of the Ubisoft devs will see this or if they'd give a carp about player opinions but here goes nothin.

Thousand Eye Contracts after completion of main story: 2 contracts per day sucks. maybe 1-3 contracts per zone of varying difficulty would make more sense. Maybe throw in some enemies with the same strength as the zealots. I get that Ubisoft wants to make money off their micro transactions and that the fear would be that people would just farm the contracts for Opals, but even with more contracts it would only extend the play time for people who would actually farm the contracts every day and want to 100% complete the game. Also the people who buy the stuff from the store typically would make those purchases towards the start of their campaign because those types of players probably wouldn't want to continue the grind once they finished the main story. ( Speaking from personal experiences and from asking my friends and discord community ) so more contracts really wouldn't be a big deal financially for Ubisoft and would be a cool thing to do for those of us who want to continue playing this game for an extended period of time. Especially since there is currently no NG+. Maybe would also buy Ubisoft some rep with their playerbase since a lot of people are looking at Ubisoft as a bit scummy right now considering the amount of game breaking bugs in the game on release and weeks after release and new microtransactions put into the game rather than updates that actually fix the core issues with actually finishing the game.

End game content: So I've played 167H of this game. I LOVE Ubisoft's open world AC games. Even with all the bugs and microtransactions shoved in my face and tricky methods of getting the players to spend more money, I'm still a huge fan. But the end game content of these games tends to be lacking and this game had so much potential to extend play time. I have thousands of supplies left after reaching the last settlement level. Would have been great if they made a system where we could continue to work on our settlements in some ways. Maybe reset raids every week with raising difficulty and the rewards being random from resources to Opals to weapons from the store. These are just things I thought would be cool. I know the work would probably be a lot to implement these things and Idk how many people actually put as much time into full game completion/continuing to play post main story as some of us but just some thoughts I had.

Also the romance with Randvi!! I thought there would be a wedding or Something since at the end Randvi says something along the lines of "we'll tell sigard in a couple days" and then nothing happens. Really wish Ubisoft would spend a bit more time on the romances in these stories in general. Most tend to be pretty bland.

Anyway all of this are just some thoughts. Would love to hear other peoples opinions and would love to hear Anything from Ubisoft to explain how the "Big Finish" quest and the Lunden side quest where you need to move the shelves and blue jars are still bugged. Pretty crazy that after 167H I still cannot actually complete the game. Also several Opals and titanium spots are bugged and impossible to pick up.
Soo yeah. Thanks for the game anyways. Really has helped me to have something to take my mind of some real life issues.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@apple5333 I beat the game after 130 something hours, and spent an additional 30 or so hunting all the random dots I had left on the map.

I don't mind the contracts, but I really wish that Reda provided the "main" contracts, and each of Reda's contacts provided contracts for specific regions. Contract variety would also be amazing, because I'm tired of killing the same wolf that spawns a short distances away from the settlement, or rescuing the same guy stuck in the same two prisoner locations.

As much as people hate Odyssey for it's repetitive region locations and bounty board quests, for me it at least gave me something to do in between waiting for Lost Tales of Greece or DLCs, not to mention the reasons to re-do fortresses and other locations for supplies, etc to trigger conquest battles. It's why I put over 1300 hours into the game, because of New Game +, mods, and all the things you can do.

There's just nothing to do in Valhalla after you beat it, and do the things you want. I hate video game fishing in general so I don't bother with it, and the hunting contracts are "decent" but I'm stuck on getting Black Bear Pelts and Dogs Teeth because of the [censored] drop rates for those items. So I can't really be bothered to complete them.

Hopefully Ubisoft's improved Raid mechanics will have meaningful rewards like more armor and weapons to find. And I really hope that they implement a way to initiate Fortress battles again, those were some of the best parts of the game in my opinion.

@fylkirpanzer So for black bear pelts theres a location where 2 spawn next to a river so you just park your ship right there next to them. Then you kill, loot, fast travel somewhere else for a sec, then fast travel back to your ship and repeat until you're finished. ( It's also super dumb AF that bears sometimes don't drop pelts or reindeer not dropping antlers.. Like I CAN SEE THE FUR ON THIS BEAR?! Just dumb. )
Dog teeth, theres a spot I THINK in Cent in a house where theres 2 dogs and then 1 more in the house next to it. You can look up the video on youtube that shows the exact locations of both those spots but its pretty easy to farm out. But I definitely wish the hunting deliveries were more challenging in terms of killing the animals like putting a few more legendary animals in the game would've been nice. And yeah fishing in video games sucks so I just fish with the bow or a spear in the shallow waters.

But yeah having Reda supply the weekly special mission and maybe other special contracts and then having a contract or 2 for every zone would be nice. As for raids idk what they could do exactly but it would be nice to have some reason to reclear all the raid spots. I doubt Ubisoft will give us much though. They have a lot on their plate yaknow. Like they have to actually finish the game since this has basically felt like a beta or early access with all the game breaking bugs. Then they have to pump out as much microtransactions as possible. Then they have the expansions to 80% complete before their releases.. Really wish they would've put some more end game challenges through the contract system at least. x_x

@apple5333 Yeah I know of the bear/dog locations, but the drop rates are so abysmal that's it's taken me hours just to get one pelt/tooth, and I need at least at least ten of each. I can't really be bothered to constantly fast travel to go to two locations and hope that I get what I need.

I really want to give this game a solid 10/10, but the more I played it, there's just nothing there to keep my interest after I beat the game. It's one of the reasons why I liked Odyssey so much, there was stuff I could do while I waited for new content. Then there are other issues like a depressing lack of armor variety, or even historically grounded armor for that matter (another thing Odyssey did right), and the lack of one handed swords, from a culture known for their one handed swords.

I was going to be hopeful about the microtransactions, but it seems they're going to go the Odyssey route and make stupid fantasy gear sets or ruin otherwise good looking gear like the Einherjar Set, with permanent blood details, even though there are blood effects in game.

I'm still trying to keep an open mind about Valhalla, and I really want it to succeed. And yeah, it released not too long ago, but this Dev team definitely has their work cut out for them if they want to make this game the best it can be.
