i don’t know why but to me it’s just an annoying and stupid fanboy like decision to let us duel wield two-handed weapons like we’re a new character on the anime Berserk.

theres no one handed swords at all yet they let some bottom feeding loser jam his lame [censored] two handed weapon duel wielding into this game......there already isn’t one handed sword and shield so why on earth is there allowed to be two handed sword and shield? It’s borderline insulting.

that’s why i can’t be nice, this crap feels forced into the game to me by some loser who didn’t even understand the time period and what weapons were used back then, if you can’t give us one handed swords then there shouldn’t be the ability to use two handed swords and shields 🤮

@frosthound030 I never run it in other games but after seeing how quickly two daggers can kill most spam enemies it's actually quite fun. Also makes "fishing" in knee-high waters extremely efficient. Full stamina and hold special attack (shield button) and watch how it eviscerates....

I'm not bothered by it. I've dual wielded two handed swords and frankly, it's terrible. Dual wielding Dane Axes or Spears is a better combination than two handed swords. I've dual wielded shields more than I've dual wielded two handed swords at this point. It would have been far better to not even have two handed swords in game. Better yet, replace two handed swords with two handed hammers/mauls and it'd be a better game. You fight enemies who use them, why can't you? (same with one handed swords but that's all over this forum at the moment)

No. I'm not annoyed. Don't spend points in the 2h dual wield if you don't want it. Why try and force your play style on everyone else? This is, for the most part PvE, not PvP. Do you want to remove difficulty settings, too? You play the game you want, and let other people do the same.

It is not forced. You do not have to dual wield. Sorry if you want to use 1h sword. I'd like a 2h hammer. They don't have those weapons available for play. Some people want other weapons, so how is that forced when you have options available ? Maybe not what you want, but there it is.

You are not being honest with what you're really angry about. Dual wielding is a play style utilized in many games in and out of genre. What is "fan boy garbage" ? The rest of your sentence is just crazy talk. Be specific.

This is not a game about realism. Seriously? The Animus isn't realism. The player character doesn't poop or pee, but we see other NPCs peeing. Doesn't change clothes. Doesn't have to sleep. Heals instantly. Where are the bags and bags slung about the character that hold all of the weapons, trinkets, gems, and armor? Are "Bags of Holding" realism, because that's what s/he must be using? What's the realism that all Danes speak English? So that just about negs your point about realism.

The game doesn't include a lot of things that are "time" period. And as a HEMA practitioner, there is literature that offers instruction in dual wielding 2h weapons.

Not really. My only issue is how they triple in size when you draw them. The scaling goes completely out of whack.

Duel wielding two handers is just one of many options the game offers. Use it don't use it, you never even have to look at duel wielding if you don't want to.

I've stuck to using just one two handed sword because that's what appeals to me. Does it really matter in a singleplayer game?

@hailthor4469 There are no player usable one handed swords in game. The only instances of one handed sword use from Eivor, are killing the Legendary polar bear in Norway, stun finishing enemies who use one handed swords, killing the Daughters of Lerion since they had some weird looking sword/axe thing, or using the passive ability to throw them after you pick them up off the ground.
