I had the same problem. I was in Glowecestrescire with a Theign cloak on. I speed traveled "home" nothing changed. But when I uncloaked in Glowecestrescire you could see the Mari Lwyd fur. From then on it stuck.

Have had this problem for over a week now. Have tried the following with no change:

• Un-equipping/re-equipping my cloaks
• Un-equipping all armor and weapons (as well as traveling between areas while everything is unequipped)
• Hiding my cloak when traveling between Glowecesterscire and another area (on foot/horse/fast travel)
• playing the Vinland arc as normal
• traveling back to Vinland with everything un-equipped. Still shows back up when I return.
• Un-equipping saving and re-loading. (The game just re-equips the cloak that I took off)
• traveled between Norway and England
• continued to progress the story (On “the final kingdom” arc now)
• completed all activities/wealth/mysteries etc. in Glowecesterscire
• Spamming the quick access cloak button after leaving Glowecesterscire and alternating between cloaks
• Hiding and un-equipping my cloak and killing myself.
• Restarting the game

Extremely frustrated that it won’t go away to say the least. Hopefully will be addressed sooner rather than later. All that said, one thing I did notice, that may or may not be significant, *spoilers* I found the body of the woman I chose to kill at the end of the Glowecesterscire arc, who was assisting the town leader in framing Eivor, several days/story arcs later. I found her body laying just randomly in the main town of Glowecesterscire. Thought maybe since her body was there (which is not where the final fight was) the game wasn’t registering that the arc was complete? As I said not sure if it is of any significance, but thought it couldn’t hurt to share.

So i might have found a work around. Kept trying different things but after fast traveling back to ravensthrope (home town) i switched equipment. Nothing Happend but then i talked to Gunnar and exited out, switched gear again and it took it off.

@knockedgorgon49 Hi folks! My apologies for the inconvenience caused by this visual error. I've reported this to our teams to be looked into, as I can imagine how frustrating it is not to be able to see the cloak you have equipped on Eivor. If anyone has any video footage of this bug, please post it here so I can add the clip to the report.

It shouldn't be because of that, because i've chosed to spare her, and it still happened to me.

Same, mask and cloak are stuck on my character and I have tried everything to remove them.

Same issue. I've tried every possible combination of moves, travels, cloaking and decliaking, hiding, swimming etc, nothing works. Been at it for hours. I'm so frustrated.

Help! so i finished the Glowecestrescire Arc, but i just realized the Deer Skull Cloak is still there and i can't get rid of it, for 2 weeks i tried everything what other players told me:

1. fast travel,
2. unequip and equip another cloak,
3. restart my PC,
4. verify the gamefiles,
5. even tried to reinstalling the game

but sadly nothing works, so i came here. i hope there will be fix for this bug, ill sent the pictures here as a proof that the cloak is still there even when Eivor is naked. its pretty frustating to my eyes tbh, i preordered the game and played it directly for almost 70hours after the game launched in only 7 days, and after this happened, i got no interest to open the game anymore. I wanna play this game really bad but my OCD is killing me

Just make it as an equipable gear insted of completelly remove from the game.

I really don't get the logic of the programmers.

Programmer 1: "Hey so in this arc we're gonna give Eivor a Halloween Skull Cloak"
Programmer 2: "Awesome! Let me program an unique inventory item that the player can upgrade, maybe with a cool bonus such as frightening the enemies and..."
Programmer 1: "Nah, let's just make it an overlay for this specific story arc. Way easier"
Programmer 2: "An overlay? But surely with a game of this scope, having a cloak overlay only for this region and only for this arc, the bigger chances there are for bugs and glitches, no?"
Programmer 1: "Nah, don't worry, we'll just make sure to beta test it to prevent players from experiencing any glitch"

Narrator: They didn't beta test it at all.

I still have the cloak permanently attached to Eivor and have I tried all of the suggested fixes but no luck I had hoped the patch would fix it.. guess I gotta wait. Just upset that my character looks so stupid and not swagged out like I imagined when I started the game.

Someone please tell me when this gets fixed I’m about to rage out and I don’t want to I just want to frolick around dark ages England all zen like.

@tadhgthejotun I literally made this account to complain about the Mari Lwyd cloak. I finished the main story line because the cloak only made me look foolish and I thought I might as well beat the main quest, but it's so aggravating that I can't put any of my new cloaks on just because of the Halloween quest. Halloween is such a crappy holiday, like no one could trick or treat this year, do you really think we want to be reminded of that? I thought not

So no one at Ubisoft has any update for us after 2 weeks?? Do they even care? Im contemplating starting a new game to see if that fixes it but I need to know it wont happen again before I do.

Same issue. Have tried everything to remove it. Still persists. Not game breaking, but being unable to remove the stupid cloak or having a cut scene trigger with that ******* skull on your face makes me shut off the game. Any player agency or immersion goes out the window instantly.

I figured o_{ut how to take the mask off on my game ! See if it works for y’all. Make sure u have the cloak equipped , then put your cloak on as if you were going into a dangerous area , then go back into your inventory and unequip the cloak . And hopefully your cloak can finally come off and the ugly mask will be gone . It is not Ubisoft trying to rip off every game glitches when it first comes out , instead of bashing them we should actually thank them for releasing this beautiful [censored] game early}
