    New patch coming for the game today. I have a feeling that the problem will still persist after that and that no real solution is coming for the missing free upgrades of disc owners of valhalla and legion. I believe it will get fixed during December when the new people get in line, as Ubisoft won't risk loosing its new customers.

    Hi,

    As it seems right now there is no end in sight for this issue currently and its been over a week now since we all received our shiny new launch PS5's is there not an option to give us a PSN code for the upgrade version? if we provide proof of purchase via support? No one is wanting anything for free here we just want to be able to play the game we have all been anxiously waiting on our new consoles to get the best experience possible!

    Ubisoft please look at some other ways to get us on and happily playing the PS5 version, if the problem isn't going to be solved imminently. Please don't add to our 2020 woes!

    Absolutely ridiculous.

    Bought the PS4 game with the ‘expected’ ability to upgrade as advertised. This is not the case. Zero support from Ubisoft with the most copy and paste style response when I eventually got a response on Messenger ‘support’.

    Whats galling is that there are likely 1000’s of people out there playing, non the wiser...

    So ever since I bought my console I expected for my next-gen upgrade games to actually work, but when I booted up my AC: Valhalla I could only play the PS4 version for some reason (I own a standard edition PS5), I heard that the next-gen upgrade is available right on the screen when you have the game there, but I don't have the option, It's still showing me that I have to pay for it, and this isn't just happening with the Valhalla it's also with Fifa 21 and other games...
    If there is any way that you could help I would thank you to the moon!

    I brought this game a week ago and recieved it late thinking by the time I get it surely they will fix this issue but a week later they've solved nothing and seem very reluctant to update people about it. Kinda tempted to return my PS4 copy but I'm not sure the retailer will take it. Only got a PS4 copy so I could loan it to my brother if he wanted to play it.

    The sound of ubisoft's silence on the matter is deafening. If they can't find a solution the least they could do is give us a code to download the Ps5 version from the Psn store. We can all provide evidence that we own the game.

    @daneeneo I have the same issue. I raised a support case with ubisoft on the 23rd and have had no reply to that at all. It feels like it is just not important to them.
