After 90 hours of the game I am disappointed how the mythic upgrade to armor is way to gold and fancy. I would love if we could choose the appearance like in Odyssey of the level of gear, while keeping the stats. There should be less fur and more chainmail or woven plate in leather. Also 1 handed swords Ubi....come on. I want to look like Ragnar invading England, not like the Duke of Normandy just getting anointed!
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@heroofcoffee I agree. I've actually saved before upgrading some of the armor to see how it looks and then reloaded when it ended up looking too much like MMORPG gear.
Agreed. I personally dislike how the non blatant "Assassin" armor, have those little pointed tails on the front. Why can't we have just flat or rounded bottom portions? I'd personally be happy with a leather + chainmail style armor or a lamellar, or scale style armor. It's why I use the Brigandine set since it has bits of chainmail on it, although Brigandines weren't around for about another century I believe. I hope they implement transmog soon because some of these "mythic" armor appearances are pretty bad imo. I like the Galloglach set, but it's far too shiny green for my tastes, not to mention the little armor piece floating on the fur. We just need more armor grounded on a historical basis.
@fylkirpanzer I don't know why they think people want the super fancy armor on a game focused on being a savage raider. Baffles me...
@heroofcoffee yes!!!! I [censored] hate gilded armor or gold, gold is [censored] soft and terrible on armor.
i purposely haven’t upgraded my raven clan helmet passed the second stage and never will, that blueish grey is the best colour i think
i save before i upgrade just so if it turns my armors set gold i cant just reload and not upgrade it
@fred_p are you like me and will never upgrade the raven clan helmet past stage 2? I want more grey on blueish steel like the second stage helmet
@frosthound030 I have most of the gear not upgraded past stage 2 or 3. There is not a single mythical armor or weapon that i like, because they are all golden and shiny. It does not meet my taste and it is also not immersive to wear so much gold as an viking/assassin. Most of the gear have an really immersive and realistic look on the first two stages.
@fgx1988 agreed, was so mad when i upgraded my hunter cloak and it added a big pauldron and skull to it🤮 the one item i didnt save before upgrading
@frosthound030 hopefully we will get an transmog system which will allow us to decide which color or metal we want to wear. That was really one of the best things in odyssey and one of the only features of odyssey that I want to see again.
@frosthound030 No, i wasn't too bothered my the golden accents on the helmet, so i kept it upgraded. It's not too fast off from my understanding of helmets of the time, though i prefer the ungilded version.
Mostly, though, I have accepted the game's wish to keep the head slot hidden, so it doesn't really matter much me what the helmets look like.
I'm particularly disappointed in the huntsman set, though. I liked the basic look of it except for the helmet, but just upgrading it once made the set look ridiculous, especially the helmet.
@heroofcoffee I would like to see some of the already by NPC used armor sets, they are awesome and look really cool in an immersive way
@heroofcoffee It's just wasted potential for me, because they have all the items in the game but those items are for NPC only. Same for some weapons. I would assume that there are around 5 weapons that only NPCs can use and I don't even talk about one-handed swords. It would be really easy for Ubisoft to make those items usable for the players.
@fgx1988 Personally I'm going to try and remain optimistic about future armor sets (especially those grounded with more historical realism in mind), as the game has just released a short while back. Granted, Odyssey had tons of options right out of the gate, so there was no need for tons of armor even though future expansions added to that list not to mention the dozens (and frankly "meh" style armor) of store armor sets as well. My only wish if we don't get more armor sets in the base game, is a transmog feature, because I honestly hate the upgraded appearances for three armor sets I like, i.e. Brigandine, Galloglach, and Raven Clan.
Clan. totally agree with you. I'm also optimistic, that they will add a trasmog system like in AC Odyssey but i think right at the moment Ubisoft is busy with fixing bugs and make it playable for everyone. After that I assume that they will implement some features and ideas from the community like they did it the last time with Odyssey.
